Charming Studio Apt in Midtown for Rent - ASAP/Nov 1st ; First Month Free

Post image
20 Upvotes

As sad as it is, I'm letting go of my apt in Midtown where I've lived for 2.5 years.

Perfect for a GA Tech student or a working professional in Midtown/near the O4W. I was able to bike from my place to my work in Ponce City Market. AMAZING LOCATION.

Rent: $1295/month + utilities that come in around 80-100 bucks a month.

Beautiful natural light with enormous glass windows.

Hardwood floors, very charming. Includes a shared patio, garden/yard - was able to grow a garden for myself.

All of the benefits of city living while the apt itself is relatively tranquil.

Here are some pics + a walkthrough video now that it has been emptied out. Also including a photo of it when I had it furnished so you can see its potential + charm.

Happy to answer any questions.

342 Mathews Ave NE unit A or B

This is just a warning in hopes it saves someone pain like I wish it would have for my friend. I’m not sure it’ll do anything but I can only hope it helps those who do research on rental properties before signing a lease.

DO NOT rent either one of these units in Candler Park. In short, the home has a major sewage issue that to this day may not even be completely fixed due to the landlord and city permits. He rented it to my friend when it should not have been rented then spent 2 months circumventing the lease, lying, and withholding money that should have been returned. Thankfully she got out of the lease but the landlord and his property management company (Sotheby) are absolutely awful and super shady (they tried to get her to sign a new lease out of no where 3 months into the original).

Hopefully this saves someone or more than one, but felt the need to try to share and get the word out.

Looking for a nice metro Atlanta Apartment

I am looking into an apartment in metro Atlanta, 1Bedroom, 1 bathroom with a budget of no more than 2K base rent per month.

I like the Doraville area, sandy springs is nice, and I would even go out to Gwinnett if needed, but not past Lawrenceville. I want a new build if possible and I am specifically looking to avoid an apartment with bugs/ aka german roaches specifically. I have heard horror stories about how when germans are present, some complexes will just send pest control to spray baseboards instead of doing a targeted treatment. So I am looking for a complex that is modern and secure and takes pest control seriously

Private landlords vs. corporate management?

I've rented from corporate-managed apartments for the past 10 years, but I'm considering a private landlord for my next move.

For those who've rented from private landlords, what should I expect? Are they generally more responsive and flexible? Any unexpected headaches or things you wish you'd known beforehand?

I'm especially interested in older properties in intown neighborhoods like Inman Park, Cabbagetown and Grant Park.

Corporate apartments have their perks, especially amenities (when they work, lol), but I've grown tired of maintenance issues, poor communication and the lack of flexibility.

ISO Young Professional Roommate

Hi, I am 29F looking for someone to rent my spare room to. I WFH and have 2 quiet dogs. I live in a downtown area west of Atlanta, about 35 minutes from downtown. There is a nice brewery, coffee shop, book store and other attractions walking distance.

You would have a private bathroom, parking spot in the driveway and designated space for your things in the fridge. The bedroom is furnished and if you needed, you could store things in the garage. $1000 per month, including utilities. I'd prefer to live with another woman, at least 25 years old.

YUGO SUMMERHILL SUBLEASE 2 bed x 2 bath $1,334/per month

Hey everyone! I am looking for a girl (has to be a girl) to take over my lease at Yugo Summerhill that is right by the GSU stadium.

Right now I am in school, but it’s in Suwannee and the traffic is kinda unbearable, especially since I have classes every day of the week. For those who are interested, you can move in as early as December 2026 (anytime aligning with my winter break and your winter break). The space is a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit $1,334 a month. You can actually split your rent into installments using the Flex app, if need be. Rent includes parking, utilities, etc, includes everything). I can show proof of this in personal messages if you would like to see. Each room has their own bathroom and walk-in closet. There is a relatively spacious kitchen with a couch + TV in the common space area (I was pleasantly surprised with this ngl). There’s an in-unit washer and dryer. There’s a stove, microwave, and a refrigerator. There is also a balcony if you like to sit outside. The place is already furnished, so you also have a desk/chair in your room, with a brand new mattress (because I requested a new one for my room lmao).
For GSU students, right outside the building, there’s a shuttle that takes you straight to GSU's campus (I don’t know much about other universities in ATL but I know Clark has something set up for their students as well).

One thing I really enjoyed about this apartment complex is that they have study rooms and access to computers if you did not own one.

There are a lot of restaurants/stores in the area Cava (my personal favorite), Grits & Eggs, Gus's Fried Chicken, a nail salon, dentist, etc). There is also a Publix that is a short walk away. A Chase bank very close by if you bank with them. The area is pretty calm, except on game days, but those days are exciting.
I have a female roommate who is quiet, clean, extremely nice and respectful.

If interested, please PM me. If you need any more information, please let me know. Thank you!

Piedmont Park or Madison Yards

My wife (30F) and I (37M) are planning to move to the city and are trying to decide where to rent. Wherever we land we want it to be very walkable (grocery stores, restaurants, theater), so we’ve narrowed it down to either near Piedmont Park (and that MARTA station, colony square, etc) or in the Madison Yards area that’s closer to the Beltline, AMC, Publix, etc.

Are there red flags about either area I may be overlooking? Does one seem obviously better than the other? Any other places in the city that might fit the bill?

Thanks all!

27-year-old single British guy moving to Atlanta - apartment recommendations?

Hello everyone. I’ll be moving to Atlanta soon and am looking for recommendations for apartment complexes. There seem to be loads of options, so I’d appreciate any advice.

My budget is around $2,000/month for a studio or 1-bed, although I’d be open to either depending on what’s available.

Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere with:

  • A good social scene, with people around my age ( mid/late 20s )
  • A good location
  • A nice pool and gym
  • Good amenities and a bit of a luxury feel

Any apartment complexes you’d recommend checking out?

Thanks in advance.
