As a young child in the 80’s I collected badges. I was clearing out the loft last week and found this mixed in with mostly badges of pop bands. I cant recall who gave it to me or where it came from.

I have been unable to find an exact match online and I was hoping someone here may know a bit more about it?

Im assuming its 1960s or 70s but it doesnt have any markings.

Appreciate that this isn’t the main point of this sub but I thought it may be of sufficient interest.

Edit: This badge is going to be offered as a donation to the Birmingham City OSC as a raffle/prize draw prize. If that doesn't work out, I plan to ask the mods of the sub to consider some kind of draw/competition for active/contributing sub members and I will donate it for free as a prize, to hopefully ensure it ends up in the hands of a genuine City fan, rather than a reseller. It's not worth much in monetary value, but it's in really good condition and a City fan needs to wear this with pride, as a commenter pointed out. I've had it stored for almost 40 years, so I really want it to go to someone who is a lifelong City fan.

Been in a few articles, but here's one.

"We spoke to him last season – ‘You’ve been fantastic, we think the world of you’ – but he’s got a young family. I think he’s got three (kids) now. He’s got an overloading midfield now, three vs two, and I think their future is back home in Japan," he said.

"He was calm about it, but we haven’t really taken it on any further. We’re both content with that. What I said to him at the start of the season is, you’re going nowhere, you’re an absolutely critical player, you’re going to be a critical player this season, and we’ll speak again as the season goes on, and he’s happy with that."

It's not often you see that sort of level of frankness, and while he does say they'll stay in contact, it sort of gives the impression that they've known about this for a little while.

If he does go, what a servant he's been. Seems like he's shaken off his rough start to the season recently, and it's fair to say he's done whatever has been asked of him and always given 100%. That Newcastle goal will be talked about for a long time.

How are we 6 months on and still without a DoF. I understand that targets were probably earmarked for this year, but how can you do further future planning without a figurehead to lead it all. The on the pitch stuff has been fantastic this season, but the work should be happening to ensure the momentum continues to build, not peter out. Has anyone heard anything? Is Murtough (or anyone) imminent, or is that a no-go as well?

So, we all know how good BOS has been this season but I think he needs so much more credit than his performances but as a total professional and his commitment.

I saw an interview he did at the start of the season (think it was with Alex Dicken but I’m struggling to find it) where he said that last season he wasn’t fit and felt like he was struggling to keep up in games.

Instead of having a full off season he changed his diet and trained hard over the summer and got himself into the fittest shape he has ever been in to push on this year and give more to the team.

Fair play to the lad he must have worked hard as he seems like a completely new signing his season.

Fingers crossed he stays fit now and carries on his great form!

From the BBC, they've done an analysis of how much Man City could have potentially cost other clubs with their dodgy financials. I feel like it's a bit hyperbolic as even if they weren't cheating they'd not have been relegated every season, but interesting nonetheless.
