I’m looking for book covers as inspiration for my product’s packaging.

For context only, I make & sell custom music boxes and I want to design a packaging box for them that looks like a beautiful book cover. The size of the box will be 15x10x6cm (roughly A6).

I’m just curious to see some of your favourites, here are a few I collected yesterday in London.

I'm very happy with how the collection has been growing.

Gorgeous silk-bound edition of classic ghost stories, and pretty affordable too (can’t go wrong with Abbeville Press). All the artwork is done on autumn leaves! Recommend for your Halloween reads.

I am so pleased with myself and my bookshelves.

And so astounded I get to call this my local used bookshop (The shop is "Words to Live By" in Moorhead, MN, btw).

It's such an amazing bookshop, in such an unexpected place.

Friends found and framed the books for me 25 yrs ago as a kitschy gift

Handbound Inferno by Dante Alighieri. Part 1 of Dante’s Divine Comedy written in the early 1300s.

I found a typeset of Henry Longfellow’s translation online and decided to hand-bind it for my collection. This book is bound in Black Goat Leather and is comprised of 18 signatures.

First published in 1957. Set in Australia in the aftermath of a nuclear war that has destroyed the northern hemisphere. The characters are waiting for the radioactive fallout to reach them. My edition is from 1966.

Got lots of goodies today in the mail!

Intricate carved 3D ,Aztec inspired patterns stamped into the cover .Head Tail and Fore edges stained brown .Bound with heavy weight glossy paper stock. .

Currently reading Polymath by Peter Hollins and just chi completed chapter 1. Jack of all Trades and already loving it. Will share more once I have complete it.
