BN Fan since 7th grade, and im almost 40 soon! My mom/best friend in the entire world recently passed and Guernica hits hard these days, I would have given anything in the world to cure her of all of it (looking at you, PPMS, fuck you). Dad passed in 2015, (fuck you, cancer). So, little posts like these where we al talk Brand New mean a lot to me and I feel a little less lonely in a world without family.

The amount of random Brand new stuff I have ran across in my house, since my concert in Newport, is wild. I started reminiscing and looking for old pictures and videos I took. I found all of those. While doing that I found pictures with tshirts and then randomly found the 1 Brand New cd I still have. I also had another shirt I got the 1 other concert I went to (2008) that I wore last week (not pictured here). Since I found brand new in 2004 or 05, I have been a massive fan but like I said I went to one concert in 2008 and just now went to another one in 2026 so it’s not like I had a massive collection of merch. And the CD I had to have purchased as soon as I got back from Iraq so just crazy to me to find this old stuff packed away in a memories box.

Is Fox Theatre automatically refunding or do you have to request it somehow? I still haven't received my refunds for two tickets + parking which totals almost $500. Anybody have insight into this?

My opinion I think it would be really awesome if they played a show at Tanglewood in the Berkshires, especially if they had the Boston symphony orchestra accompany them. Songs like handcuffs already have orchestral instruments in them, but could you imagine like 451 and you won't know and stuff with like violins. They could even record it and put it out like Metallica's s&m. Even if they didn't use the symphony orchestra, Tanglewood let you bring in your own wine and your own drinks and food and all that stuff let you have a picnic. Lawn seats are like $40 and it can fit like 6000 people. Probably won't happen unless they do it for a special release with the Boston symphony orchestra or something like that, because I believe AEG just pays them a big chunk of money to go on tour and they aren't responsible for the ticket prices or any of that stuff. They just get a good deal of money whether people show up or not and then they don't have to worry about anything other than showing up and playing so you can't really blame them. But one could dream. If they did use the Boston symphony orchestra they could even do like two or three nights just to make sure they got enough stuff for a release and so that people that traveled could make sure they could get a ticket and whatnot. I saw Beck there do sea changes it was pretty cool. Also Robert plant and Van Morrison. It's one of my favorite venues because they aren't out to nickel and dime you. I like just being able to bring in a case of kombucha nobody says anything.

Last time I saw BN was their Bomb Factory show in 2017. Little did we know amirite?

At the time, my mom had just died that March, I was divorced and dating a girl that had no interest in attending the show.

Had a semi-decent time even though she got annoyed by the pit and went and sat in the back 🙄.

Fast forward to today, happily married to an amazing woman whom I didn’t communicate with very well that I had bought tickets to the 10/30 show. We couldn’t arrange child care so I ended up selling her ticket.

We’re both bummed but I think attending this show by myself will actually be kind of cathartic in a way, just hope I don’t seem like a weirdo lol.

Sorry for the random rant. I’m very excited to be in the pit with people who love this band as much as I do.
