We're now doing verified owner flairs! Post here to get them!
BEFORE SUBMITTING PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE REQUIREMENTS! YOU NEED A PHYSICAL NOTE INCLUDED, NOT JUST A PICTURE OF YOUR CAT.
Hello! To make things a bit easier, when it comes to proving who's the real owner of a said cat, we're introducing verified flairs.
Simply post a picture of your cat with a small physical note that includes your username (like a post-it note), and you will get assigned your own flair with the name of your cat(s).
(Remember that it has to be a physical note, post it, or similarly).
You can post here or send me a modmail and I'll get you verifying you asap!

When her big brother comes home, she acts like she’s never met him, as if to say, “Welcome to MY house!” 😺🐾✨

Princess Adrian
Here’s another photo! I didn’t expect such a beautiful reaction from the community when I started posting my babies here so there’ll be more photos to come. This is my favourite photo of her to date 🥹

Is my cat a BSH?
My partner got our cat from a local owner and the owner mentioned that both parents are BSH (but since they're a local/independent breeder they don't have certificates or anything)
Based on his characteristics is he a BSH?
He's active, shadow-like clingy, loves sleeping on head, etc but still can be independent

Does my orange baby look like a British
Does my baby miso look like a British short hair or a British short hair mix? His vet thinks he is mixed :) would like confirmation.

Is my cat a longhaired British Shorthair (if such a thing is possible)
My cat Herbie was one of a litter of British Shorthairs with both parents looking like traditional British Shorthairs.. but he is surprisingly fluffy and the older he gets the thicker his winter coat seems to get. He's very friendly and likes to be cuddled more than the Brits I've adopted in the past. Not sure if he would qualify as a British Longhair or not. I wonder if anyone could shed any light on all this? He always reminds me of a koala 🐨❤️

A moment for my beautiful girls
They just turned 4 months, and have doubled in size since we got them a month ago 😭😭 they grow up so fast.
Also, they are sisters even though one is long haired!! genes are crazy!

Do british shorthairs get this giant?
This is Zeus, a 3 Year old British Shorthair (no papers, most likely a mix as he doesn't have the usual round face, more of a lion face)
I am 5'0 / 150cm and when he stretches out like that, he is the entire lengt of my leg from mid-thigh to foot.
I have never seen a cat this giant. Or this heavy...I can't really carry him. It's like picking up an overweight toddler.
My other 2 British Shorthair - MaineCoon mix girls (1 years old) are tiny af and look like 5month old kitten next to him (no picture available as they're still in the getting to know each other phase)
I included a picture of one of them on my chest for a hopefully working size reference lol
Important side notes: both Zeus' pictures are half a year old, there is no more bell on his collar so please don't come at me for that 😭🙏 I learned my lesson

Potpot
Potpot is very sweet boy, whenever I came home from hunt. He climbs and always ask to do belly rubs until we go to sleep. This is him even when he was a little kitten. He's such a sweet kitten. Oh! his name why is it like that? I got it from a local fried chicken store that I always bought when I used to don't have much since it was so cheap.

BSH/BLH x Ragdoll
Does anyone have a British longhair and a ragdoll? How do they get along and what differences do you see in their personalities? I have a ragdoll currently but trying to figure out if they’d be a good fit or if a second ragdoll would be more appropriate

Eye help
Hi guys, the last few days my cats eye has been really damp underneath. I’ve woken up today and it’s the worst it’s been, it’s also quite gooey? Not any colour liquid almost just like eye goop under the eye? Wonder if anyone else has experience this. Going to take him to the vet today

green eyes?
My gorgeous lil baby is about to be 4 months old!
I was told that he would have brown eyes, since that’s the standard for his coat colour. However, so far they appear to be green. So i’ve been wondering, will his eyes stay green? His mother has green eyes and his father has deep copper eyes.
Is it even possible for him to have green eyes? I’ve never seen a kitten have green eyes with this coat colour..

British shorthair or Russian Blue?
My family and I are on the market for a shorthair but this breeder sent us these photos. We’re all pretty doubtful these are genuine because of the triangular face inside of round or storky build. Are we being fooled or are these legit British shorthair?

Need some advice
I have recently contacted a breeder and they sent some photo of an adorable kitten (she is around 2 weeks old). They told me that her fur will turn more golden as she’s older and I find her fur colour quite unique even though I had a preference for golden.
Her cost is around 4200 aud. The owners are registered with an ethical feline control council, so I do believe it’s only right to accept the cost from an ethical and validated breeder. However, the breeders did mention that her fur is considered unique so it’s priced higher than normal. I do feel doubtful about this.
It’s my first time getting a cat, would love some advice from any cat owners :)
