I have a midterm tomorrow (ELEC 311) and I woke up really sick today so i might not be able to write the exam, I emailed the prof and got no reply, the course outline says: "There is no make-up for the scheduled midterm exam. If you miss the mid-term exam for any valid reason (sickness or other unavoidable reasons), your final exam will be worth 65% of the course grade."
Does anyone know if that means I need to get a doctor's note or would the percentage transfer automatically to the final?

The course outline for Thermo Engr 251 says that if a midterm exam is missed, an oral theoretical makeup exam will be conducted. Has anyone ever had to do one of these before? What does it look like? Is it harder or easier than the regular midterm ? Would it be worth it for me to skip the midterm and do an oral exam later on?
