Hi everyone!
I’m a wildlife photographer who’s recently decided to explore a different side of photography, and I’m hoping to find a few people who would be interested in helping me build my portrait portfolio!
I’ve always been drawn to photography that feels a little more whimsical and imaginative. I love the idea of creating photographs that feel like they belong in a story, whether that’s something mystical, medieval, fantasy-inspired, or even a little dark and mysterious.
I’m thinking beautiful natural settings, forests, soft lighting, interesting outfits, cosplay, and anything that feels a little out of the ordinary. I’d really love to create photographs that have some personality and tell a story, rather than just traditional portraits.
That being said, you don’t need to have a fancy outfit or a specific theme in mind! You’re welcome to wear absolutely anything you’re comfortable in. We can work together to come up with ideas based on your outfit, interests, and the overall feeling you’d like your photographs to have.

A little about what I’m offering:

I’m looking for three individuals, couples, or small groups who would be interested in a completely free photography session around Edmonton and the surrounding area.
Each session will include 10 individually edited, high-resolution photographs, and we’ll work together beforehand to plan a location and general theme. No modelling experience is needed!
I also want to be upfront about the fact that I’m still learning.

Although I have experience with wildlife photography, photographing people is something I’m only just beginning to explore. I’m comfortable behind a camera, but posing, directing, and bringing these creative ideas together with people is something I’m hoping to improve on.
I’ll be putting as much care and effort into these photographs as I would with any of my wildlife work, and I’ll do my absolute best to provide images that we’re both happy with. I just ask for a little patience and understanding while I find my footing and develop my style.
That’s a big part of why I’m offering these sessions for free. I don’t want anyone to feel like they’re paying for an experienced portrait photographer when I’m still building that experience myself.
I’m really excited to try something new, meet some creative people, and hopefully make some beautiful photographs along the way.

Hubby finally caught his first buck solo yesterday after years of trying. He's been with other hunters a couple of times and is learning to skin and butcher himself, so I can't promise high quality, but we have no use for the hide personally when he's done and no one we know directly to give it to. I hate the idea of it ultimately going completely to waste and would love to give it to a craftsperson, especially someone just starting to learn tanning!

He and a friend are going to start working on it this evening.

Hello!! I am a hobbyist/amateur photographer who does mostly wildlife! Primarily birds and other fauna you can find around the area. However, I’ve been very curious about stepping into the wedding/engagement/event photography sphere, as well as just regular portraits as well. I have no gallery/portfolio of humans as I’ve never really shot people in an established event setting before, but would really love to try! I will photograph your wedding/engagement/pregnancy/family/event for FREE so I can develop my portfolio.

While birds are definitely not the same as humans, I’ve always felt I can capture a very beautiful story in many of my photos. I’m also always the token photographer friend for any event/party within my circle, and I love to stop random strangers on the street trying to take a selfie and take it for them! I live by the commonwealth stadium and I tried to go to the one just off 93st and 108 ave but couldn’t find anything even going a one block radius all around it. They are tremendous people and have reached out to the community to help find someone who could use help before the winter comes. We all know someone who has been affected by the weather this summer, and not everyone has insurance to help with the damages. If you know of anyone who needs a new furnace but cannot afford one, please nominate them.

I've got a Quickie A4 wheelchair just taking up space. The seat is 16x16 inches. The wheels are 24 inches and I've got an extra pair plus an extra pair of tires. The back upholstery is a bit torn, but otherwise it's fine. No cushion. I know there are some programs that might take it off my hands, but first I'd like to see if someone in need could use it. You'd need to come pick it up.

I have a home hospital bed that I need to get rid of. I have no need for it anymore. I’ve had it up for sale on Marketplace with no bites. I’ve also looked into donating it to Valour Place and Red Cross but they wouldn’t take it. Does anyone have any other options I could look at?

The bed is an extra long twin, it’s in great shape and has an upgraded mattress. It’s clean and about two years old. I only used it for 5 months. It raises, lifts the head and feet.
