2022 concert - is there an opener?

Hi everyone, I’m going to see EC soon and was wondering if there was an opener for this tour. I won’t be able to get out of work early and I’m hoping not to miss anything. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance

Poor Fractured Atlas

In "Poor Fractured Atlas," Elvis Costello reflects on the insecurity and vanity of men with an ample amount of irony in one of the last great recordings he did with The Attractions. All this in the latest from Recliner Notes:

Song Elvis Costello - Shipbuilding (acoustic instrumental cover). I've been a huge fan for years--he was my first-ever concert (Goodbye Cruel World tour w/ Nick Lowe). I think this is one of the greatest songs ever written. I love the Robert Wyatt version too, but Chet Baker on the EC version is tops.

Fashion Fashion aesthetic of early Elvis Costello

Straight jeans with cuffed legs. “Red” shoes (Oxfords, loafers). Shirt, tie, and shabby jacket. Specs and mess of hair. From today’s perspective, he was the ultimate hipster. He dressed like a nutty history professor. Whatever degree of irony or conceit went into that early look, the early Elvis Costello was an icon.

I hope this is OK! I'm writing about all of EC's songs for my newsletter and I really went long on this one. Such a great tune.

Tokyo Storm Warning

“Tokyo Storm Warning” by Elvis Costello is an illustration of an apocalypse, both public and personal as it channels "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and delights in the cataloging of nightmarish images. See the latest from Recliner Notes:

Suit of Lights

New post from Recliner Notes considering "Suit of Lights" by Elvis Costello which contains a son and an artist's contempt towards audiences as well as a hefty amount of self-hatred, ultimately serving as an act of purification:

Deportee

Though telling a tale of ill-gotten money, senseless sex, and celebrity, the song "Deportee" is a reclamation project by Elvis Costello to recover and restore his musical voice and perspective in the latest post from Recliner Notes:

Almost Blue

The song "Almost Blue" sees Elvis Costello writing to the idea of what a standard should be. He does this by channeling Chet Baker and the remove inherent in Baker's musical approach. All this and more in this week's post on Recliner Notes:

New Amsterdam
