Today’s update cracks open the Rifts with the new Challenge the Rift Mission encounter, kicks off the Portal Combat Questline and welcomes Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero. Lefty and Righty got faster and stronger, Heroic Hours got their own corner in Homebase and a fresh round of bug fixes got squashed. Details below!

You must have wondered at least once what those Rifts scattered across the world are for. Wonder no more!
When in a Mission, deposit four BluGlo into one to summon a battlefield around it and face a Mini-Boss inside the circle, showdown style. Take it down to claim Gold, PERK-UP! and an Evolution Materials Cache.
Know before you aggravate a Rift:

The Rifts are definitely acting up… Strange monsters are slipping through, the Storm’s energy is leaking out - and in Hexsylvania, even the local Zombie Chickens are getting infected. Complete the Portal Combat Questline by November 18 to unlock Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero.
Don’t worry… it’s only a nightmare. This Legendary Soldier boosts Lefty and Righty’s Crit Rating, with a chance to summon a Phantasm to hunt down nearby enemies.
Standard Perk: Ghoulslinger
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 15.
Commander Perk: Ghoulslinger+
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 45. Crits have a 40% chance to summon a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.

The pistols come out faster, and they stay out longer! We’ve reworked the ability’s uptime Perks to allow you to use it more frequently without the elimination part:
These targeted buffs bring both Perks in line with their Goin’ Commando counterparts - “Goin’ Again” and “Ain’t Done Yet”.
Heroic Hours now have their own corner in Homebase! You’ll find a new display above the Quest Log board, showing what Heroic Hours are happening and exactly how long remains on the clock.

Something’s knocking at the Door of Darkness, and a ghost named Willow wants to keep it shut. Complete the Questline to earn Gold, Candy and the Willow Hero.
Willow
This Legendary Outlander from the Fortnitemares Heroes set hits harder the closer she is to becoming a ghost herself - her ability damage rises as her health drops.
Standard Perk: Ghoulish Cackle
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health.
Commander Perk: Ghoulish Cackle+
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health. In addition, ability eliminations have a chance to conjure a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.

Welcome to Teacher Tuesday, a thread where anyone can ask any type of question without the fear of getting deathly glares by a passing Blaster! Questions can range from whats new in Fortnite, whats the current meta, or even where did the storm even come from? Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question(s).

Got some sunbeam, moonglow, and a piece of spectrolite! Not too bad. Gonna make myself a power level 160 nocturno 😁 (Edit: This was made and edited by myself in Autodesk sketchbook with NO usage of AI)

I know it's probably dumb to even ask because I never see anybody run it, so there must be a reason why
I'm leaning more towards getting the gammatron from the collection book for survivors, but im still curious

Hope you all enjoy this Fortnite Save The World trailer that I put together in celebration of Save The World now being Free To Play! It took... ages to gather the footage and edit.

90% of the mission is easy and at the last 5 tiles u get like 20x the spawns and literally impossible(combined with exploding deathbomb especially)
Made a 2nd bomb and this happened.

I've been playing STW since 2017. Every weapon maxed out, collection book completed level 1000 And then, one day, someone hacks into your account and takes everything away from you. And here's a spoiler for you: nobody is going to help you, just like nobody helped me.

Hear me out on this, because the timeline makes too much sense.
Epic Games doesn’t put in the massive amount of work they have over the last two years without it being profitable in some way—especially not for a game that went free-to-play. The only logical explanation for the state of the game right now is heavy AI integration and prompt-based "vibe coding".
To Epic, the math is simple: AI = more content (not necessarily better) = more profit. Look at Tim Sweeney’s absolute obsession with AI game development on his X profile. He literally announced a "huge pivot" toward maximum AI acceleration.
If you think this is just a conspiracy theory, Epic literally just admitted that the new preview launcher was fully vibe coded. Their official announcement literally read: "Programming is hard. So, instead of doing that, we vibe coded a new Epic Games Launcher." They completely ditched hand-written code for AI prompts. And we all saw how that went—it hilariously launched Among Us when people tried to boot up Fortnite!
Look at what happened with the leadership shift when Steve Allison left. The new guy put in charge of the Epic Games Launcher, Martin Keely, was also put in charge of Epic Online Services—which handles our matchmaking.
The results speak for themselves: we now have a buggy, disastrous launcher paired with an even worse matchmaking system. This isn't the future of "good" AI use; it looks like the roadmap for a gaming company digging its own grave.
Was the Homebase Hub just the ultimate exam to pass the AI dev/vibe coding test? Or is this broken launcher the real final boss?

i think everyones noticed that in the past few months epic has just been doing things to make the game more tedious to play. with the matchmaking and nerfs being the most prevalent. when you really think about it why would they keep the game alive? theres almost no place for profit. the gamemodes free and if they put in microtransactions & removed vbucks everyone would complain. the people working on the game are also professional devs who have decades of experience. surely they can do a better job, with the matchmaking especially. and the little new quests they keep adding that started with hunt the titan is a tiny bit of content they make with almost no effort in order to make the playerbase think they care. and wont suspect that theyre actually just purposefully killing the game in the long term. the stw community is one of the best ive been apart of because after years of little to no content they still stick around. but eventually everyone will be worn out with these unnecessary updates that only serve to make the game slower. like the homebase.

My current soldier build is a Rabbit Raider Jonesy, but I'm considering making one with the new Grave Feather hero.
What are y'all's recommendations on builds?
(Perk and hero build recommendations for the shredder build would also be greatly appreciated. My current one was just made off of vibes)

These are my current load outs for each hero class and was wondering if their was anything I can do to improve them
r/Fortnite • u/Ravanex • 1d ago
I think neither of these ideas would require a lot of effort to make but they would greatly improve the experience, at least for me!
1.
We should be able to "connect" a skin to each Hero Loadout. Right now if you have a skin equipped it's used all the time, no matter what Loadout you use. If you would be able to "connect" a skin to each Loadout it would also change automatically.
For example I'd like to use Red Ruin Joni for a Ninja loadout but for a Minigun build I'd rather use something like Megalo Don. At the moment I need to manually change the skin each time I change loadouts. Not a big issue but it would be really nice to have.
2.
We should be able to put skins on our Defenders. It would be really nice to have matching Defenders to our Commander (or skin). Like imagine using Darth Vader while having Stormtrooper defenders, or anything really, the possibilites are endless lol
This could end up in buying skins I wouldn't use for myself but I would for my Defenders.
3.
At the moment your Hotbar is shared across every Loadout. If you have a lot of Loadouts this can make it hard to remember which weapon belongs to which loadout, so I think the Hotbar (the 3 slots you can access without opening the inventory) should be unique to each Loadout.

So it could be just an error in my PS4, but I was playing Fortnite yesterday just fine, turned it on today and suddenly Fortnite wasn't there. Ever happened to anyone else? I know I didn't accidentally uninstall it myself, because the buttons are multiple columns away from each other and also uninstalling takes like 3 steps.

I wonder what other non teddy perks in the game affects Teddy. For instance, the Rockin Riff works on Teddy, I used battle beat to trigger it but forgot sub wafers also do it, making that instead more reliable to trigger it as you can use it any time before deploying Teddy. Cyberclop's plasma arc affects energy related things, including the turret meaning it will proc his perk. Grave Feather's hero perk Ghoulslinger affects Teddy when using Jilly Teacup's under Warranty as the crits count triggering the phantasms, and Under Warranty I believe does affect the lasers that come out of Staredown Southie's perk Bear Stare, not sure how it works if it needs to be the exact second Teddy finds a new target or not, but I did notice it did a chunk of damage on a husky. I'm not sure if that is all of it but let me know if I am missing any.
r/Fortnite • u/Ok_Selection6098 • 2d ago
I see a lot of people promoting the gammatron 9000, but I saw that the plasmatron also seems to have the same gimmick.
I'm trying to get a good weapon for my defenders (right now they have siegebreaker, little instrument of destruction, and room sweeper)
If it matters, I'm currently running a TEDDY build with Madcap in the lead, but I might switch to Cyberclops
Any suggestions on what perks to use are also appreciated!

Honestly is the most difficult challenge souly because of how many missions and how much time needed to get it done!
