This was my car from high school. It blew a head gasket and sat in my parents garage for 18 years before I finally towed it to my house and started the rebuild. I've been rebuilding this car on YT for the last 7 years but there's still quite a bit of work left to do. First picture was taken at the shop this morning getting its inspection which is the farthest it's driven in decades. This is a huge milestone and my goal for the year. I guess this winter I'll learn how to do body work and then painting in the spring.

Hello folks. I took out all the thermactor stuff while installing headers. Started her up and she sounds like a lawnmower or a tug at the airport. I do have a hole in the rear exhaust pipe somewhere from rust. I do have the hole in the cat still open from where the air tube went in. what are the next steps in making her sound better? im tempted to buy a whole new exhaust system and convert her to dual.

Picked up this coyote swapped 84 convertible couple weeks ago, and been trying to clean up the work the previous owner did. While the car seems to run, it appears alot of the work was just slapped together. The previous owner has attempted to convert the 84 to an aero fox, using 90-93 dash, wiring harness, interior pieces, etc.

One of the issues being that the steering columns telescopes in and out about an inch. After some research, determined that i'm missing the steering column tube bearing sleeve, but I think this would only help the wheel from bouncing, rather then eliminating the in and out movement.

Anyone has any ideas on what I should be looking for to fix this, or what may be missing? I'm finding a ton of short cuts the previous owner did, so very possible something is missing.

They have all been sitting for quite awhile now. The white 87’ is basically complete, the yellow 88’ has the engine from the teal 93’, no transmission and little interior, but the exterior is still shiny and it is a convertible. The 93’ is a roller, has some interior. I am thinking about investing in some Meta glasses and filming the restoration process.

ive been wanting to cam it and keep it speed density since i already have a maf fox so i want a different challenge. but im not sure which cam would work best in running terms.

Anyone have smoked headlights on their Fox Body? Does the light shine through enough for safe night driving?

Can someone recommend a good set of motor mounts for a street fox that will NEVER see the track? It’s a basic h/c/i 306 with a Vortech pushing 9lbs of boost. I want to replace the current worn out set and not have to worry about motor mounts again.

Does this look like I have the clutch adjusted correctly? I swapped my ‘91 Fox to manual from the aod that was going bad and I am paranoid that I might not have the clutch adjusted correctly I have an adjustable cable and have set the throw out bearing to touch the clutch pressure plate fingers slightly as is recommended by Mustang Geek as it is factory and I have a firewall adjuster with the under dash quadrant and am just looking for some feedback about how my clutch is adjusted (don’t mind the fusebox hanging it will be mounted shortly I had the dash out because it was cracked in half so I swapped it and haven’t screwed the fusebox back in)

Refreshed quarter windows and installed with fresh butyl sealer believing that they were the source of water intrusion. Well that wasn’t the area because it rained last night and a small pool of water was in the rear area behind drivers seat toward the trunk area. Got out the hose and discovered it was the top of rear window had about a 5 inch opening. My question is I’m assuming that all of these trim clips need to be in place when I apply the new sealant. Any other things that I should be ware of?

Does and 05 explorer 8.8 rear end work for a 85 mustang without having to do fabrications to it and if not what's the best way to get a rear-end for it

I’m looking for a NEW replacement passenger side mirror for my 86 ‘vert. As you can see in the pic the internal adjuster broke. I’ve googled it but I can’t find one anywhere! It’s the passenger side but if I need to I wouldn’t be opposed to buying both sides. Any suggestions fam?

Thanks to everyone who gave me pointers and tips on my head and cam swap still have a few things to button up but took it out on a first drive today very happy I took it on myself. Got this car from my grandpa it had been sitting for 20 years due to a broken transmission. I’ve redone the whole fuel system, interior, replaced the transmission and now the heads, cam and intake. It feels good to do it all myself I’m not a professional I just enjoy the challenge. Still needs a tune but I’m happy

i need a pic's of the plug. all my wires came out of it and i have a replacement one from LMR but not sure which ones to splice too as all are black on new one. thanks ahead of time for any & all help

Anyone here running their front springs with the lower isolators off? The one that fully wraps around the coil.

Mine have swollen substantially to the point I can even reinstall the springs on my car. I have the upper isolator and that cylinder rubber one that goes in the centre of the spring on it.

Is there much of a road noise increase without that lower one? Is it worth figuring out how to work or f*** it, run without it.

Hello ! So I have a Lx 5.0 EFI Mustang with AOD transmission.

The issue that I’m having now with the car is when the engine is hot I won’t start,

I changed all 8 injectors, fuel pump, we check with my mechanic and we have fuel + spark, the engine turn and crack but won’t start fuel pump relay is ok too,

This is driving me crazy I don’t wanna carb swap a Foxbody 7-up lol,

So please any advice is welcome

Bought this about a month ago and have spent a lot giving it the attention it deserves. 62lb injectors, PMAS MAF, Anderson Power Pipe & a proper conservative tune to come.

I put in a champion 3 row radiator, dual fans w/ relay, 340 pump with heavy duty wiring, new plugs & wires, new adjustable regulator, 3.33 vortech pulley, new LMR headlights, SVE wheels, koni struts & SVE springs.
