Are there any places to see ducks in Harrogate? Thanks!

Are the Harrogate Whites meeting anywhere tomorrow?

I know Claro road can be a bit busy but this is on the edge of it and the proximity to town and the stray look great. I don’t really know that area that well compared to around Hornbeam park.

Anyone know of anything like this that has coaching/drills as well as gameplay?

I realise the obvious answer is "join a team", just keen to hear what's out there that offers coaching as well.

Or shall I just stick with Starbucks or Nero

Obviously not for taking the piss but for sitting with a laptop for 2 hours at a time maybe

Newish to the area, trying to expand my circle a bit. Thought going a few bars might meet some people.

Any recommendations where to go?

Hello everyone, hope this is allowed!
I plan to attend thoughtbubble this year, and on submitting my pages for the sample script they put out this year.
However I’ve been so far unable to find accommodation in Harrogate that won’t near-break me financially :) so I’m just chancing my arm here, does anyone know of a place to look in the town that might be more budget-friendly or even if there was a spare floor going for a day or so? Any suggestions are much appreciated :)

I’ll be in Harrogate from the evening of the 13th to the morning of the 16th.

Thanks in advance :)

Me and friend are looking to play football on a Thursday/Friday around Harrogate if anyone can help/recommend anywhere? We already play 7 a side on a Monday but want to play more. Thanks!

With a town teaming with History, what is something you know for fact or have been told and choose to believe about Harrogate? Think ghost stories, superstitions and plots!

Do NOT let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Seen people posting these for Sheffield and York so thought I’d have a go, first iteration…

Downsizing and looking to move to Harrogate but trying to keep chain-free so looking for a 3 month rental (say mid Nov to mid Feb) while we suss out the market/locations etc. The more 'corporate' providers are quoting ridiculous numbers, anyone have any out of the box ideas? I'm thinking 'lodges', people who've moved out but want a property looking after, friend has a place etc. Ideally 2 bedrooms and a whole flat, lodge etc. Any links/ideas welcome - thanks!

Vinyl record collector here, looking for the best places in town to buy some records. Mostly into classic rock, but willing to venture into other genres too.

(Not Betty's)

Hi folks. I'm currently 9 months pregnant and suffering with early labour. I just need a pick me up and I crave cinnamon buns.

Might try make some myself for the distraction, but also tempted to order some in or go hunt for some in town.

Can't walk far, so need some good recommendations I can walk directly to.

Bonus points if they are served warm, but it's not necessary.

Only say not Betty's as I can't stand in the queue and I can't afford them on maternity pay. But anything else goes!

I have questions about this building…
- What is it?
- What goes on in there? There’s no signage
- How did they get planning permission for it to be so tall and visible?
- Why is the landscaping so out of keeping with the building? The brick paving looks like it should lead to a 1950s semi-detached

Hi,
I recently moved to Harrogate a couple of months ago for work. I’m in my early 20s and it’s been kinda hard trying to find clubs /social things to do which don’t really break the bank. I’m pretty much open to anything but was wondering if anyone was in a similar situation/had any recommendations.

Has anyone been to the shop near Asda? It’s one of those little grocery/corner-shop type places where you’d normally expect them to sell Pepsi, Coke, vapes, snacks, stuff like that.

I went in a few times now there was basically nothing on the shelves. It was really odd. Does anyone know what the deal is with it? Is it some kind of front/drug thing, or is there a completely normal explanation I’m missing?

Due to getting a new job in Leeds and moving out of a relatively leafy part of London, I’m thinking of a move to Harrogate and looking at places not too far from the town centre. I’ve been looking at places on Ripon Road (and the roads just off it) near(ish) to the Doubletree Hilton. Every time I look at Google Maps, it seems to show heavy , often stationary, traffic in both directions and particularly around Crescent Road. Would living around there be an eternal traffic nightmare, or just at peak times of the working week?

Unfortunately a long shot…
Bike stolen from Hornbeam Park Train Station bike shed last Thursday 1st October.
It was parked up from 8:30 I got back at 5:15 to a lock on the floor 🫠

Anyone saw anything or seen anything at all.. long shot I know

It’s a Specized Allez - Black logo on black frame..

Looks like this in the link https://c02.purpledshub.com/uploads/sites/39/2019/03/specialized_allez_roadbike-1497505835774-ql7rfro3fj68-a84f63a.jpg?webp=1&w=1200

How do I add a picture to a post 😅

Hi,

I’m going to be hosting a party for around 70 people so looking for some recommendations in and around Harrogate.
Criteria would be that I can arrange my own food and DJ, but there’s a bar.

Anywhere good that you have personally used?
I’ve thought of a couple of places but open to other suggestions.

TIA!

We’re in Harrogate next weekend and staying in the town centre.
Any recommendations for decent non chain restaurants please.
Budget is £150 for 2 including a bottle of wine.
Thanking you in advance.

It’s been going on for like 1.5hours straight. Can’t see any important religious ceremony? Yesterday too but don’t think there was even a service on, it was empty when it was happening lol

Starting to think someone has left it on by mistake
