Any editors want an edit idea(+ give me credit if you use it 😭)

I have a pretty good edit idea for Si-won and Hye-ryung, or at least I think it's pretty good, but I can't edit at all 🥲

I want someone else to make an edit with my idea, but I don't know if my idea is even that good, honestly. I'm also kinda scared that someone will use it and take all the credit for the idea and I don't know if it's been used before because I can't seem to have one original idea before suddenly finding out that it's already been used 😭😭

If there is anyone that still edits them since I can't seem to find any recent edits of them and wants an idea please respond because I don't want this idea to go to waste because of my horrible editing skills if it is actually a good idea 🥲

[ Spoilers ] 6 Theories of season 2: Why Haetsal Made a Fatal Mistake & The Truth Behind the Red Thread Spoiler

I've been going crazy thinking about the If Wishes Could Kill finale, especially after hearing Director Park Yoon-seo’s comments about wanting to dive deeper into the characters' backstories if we get a Season 2.

It feels like Haetsal and the others completely missed a massive, structural curse staring them right in the face because they were too focused on the "digital" app. Here is my 6-point breakdown of what is actually happening behind the scenes, and how it perfectly sets up a terrifying Season 2:

**1*. Si-won didn't just make a curse - She released a demon\*

When Si-won smashed her shaman mother's shrine in a fit of rage, she didn't just break a room; she broke a seal. She freed a dangerous evil spirit. Most likely, only Si-won’s mother knew how dangerous this entity actually was, but she died before she could warn anyone. Right before Si-won died, she said, "You're going to regret this." That entity likely influenced Si-won to attach the curse to her phone, combining its own evil power with her negative emotions.

**2. How Bang-wool accidentally got his power - **

Bang-wool got his power to see ghosts right after he was attacked while trying to save Geon-woo. My theory is that when the entity attacked him, it accidentally shattered his spiritual barrier and opened his vision. But because he has never seen Si-won or Na-ri in person since getting his vision, he has no idea what he is actually dealing with yet.

**3. The red thread in Na-ri's eye was the demon taking over - **

Remember that scene where Geon-woo almost convinced Na-ri to stop, but then a tiny red thread slithered into her eye? That wasn't just a cool effect—it was the demon jumping into her mind. The demon needed Na-ri to stay angry and jealous so it could use her body as its new home.

**4. Haetsal made a huge mistake - **

Haetsal thought destroying Si-won's red phone would destroy the curse. She did a funeral ritual for Hyeong-wook, but she completely ignored Na-ri. Because Haetsal didn't cleanse Na-ri's body, the demon didn't die when the phone broke—it just stayed inside Na-ri's spirit.

**5. The Discord messages prove the curse evolved -**

The mid-credits ending shows messages asking, "How do you think Hyeong-wook died?" and giving out Na-ri's phone passcode. The demon has learned how teenagers use the internet. It doesn't need Si-won's old phone anymore—it is using gossip and curiosity to trick the next victim (like Min-su) into making a wish.

**6. Bang-wool is in huge danger for Season 2 -*\*

When Bang-wool finally sees Na-ri in Season 2, he will be the only one who can see the monster hiding inside her. But seeing spirits works both ways—the moment Bang-wool looks at her, the demon will know he sees the truth. Since Se-ah and Haetsal think they already won, Bang-wool is going to be completely isolated and become the demon's prime target.

What do you guys think? Do you think Bang-wool will realize he's a target before it's too late, or is Haetsal's mistake going to cost them another life?

If Wishes Could Kill theory hye ryung and si won

In if wishes could kill they show that do hye ryung killed herself right?

Then where did the body go after she died, since her suicidal video was supposedly viral it must have reached the police, they would have taken all evidence including the phone she used, so why didn't they take anything?

After that when kwon si won died, the police and paramedics must have come. They clean up everything and all, alr but when se ah was trying to get in the multi media control room thingy, the door was blocked, how cuz no one can block it and get out.

I think it would be that hye ryung's body went to the spirit world and si won's as well maybe. But that isn't physically possible so their body must be somewhere in the real world but it's Unexplaineable for hye ryung's case cuz her body isn't there. Si won's body must have been found cuz it was in school someone must have found it and bcz of that incident they closed the multi media room. But hye ryung's body is in a place no one knows abt.

Anyone have any theories?

Season two if wishes could kill ideas

📱 [Theory] The Ultimate Plot Outline for If Wishes Could Kill Season 2!

Since the Season 1 finale left us with so many massive cliffhangers, I have been thinking about how a second season could play out. This outline perfectly connects the lingering guilt of the teenagers with the strict rules of Korean shamanism, leading to an epic, emotional showdown. Let me know what you think!

🏚️ Part 1: The Trapped Best Friend & The Psychological Trap

The story starts with Lim Na-ri, who went completely crazy after being dragged into the dark spirit realm while it collapsed. Because she was heavily brainwashed by Si-won's ghost before falling, she genuinely believes Se-ah intentionally abandoned her to save herself.

To get revenge, Na-ri forms a powerhouse alliance with Min-soo (Hyeong-wook's Discord friend from the mid-credits scene). Min-soo fixes the red phone to act as the living link, while Na-ri provides the chaotic ghost energy from the other side.

Before attacking physically, Na-ri plays a devastating psychological game. She hijacks Se-ah's phone to send fake texts pretending to be from Ha-joon, saying "I don't like you anymore." This strikes right at Se-ah's deepest insecurity, breaking her spirit from inside the realm before the physical curse even begins.

🕸️ Part 2: The Multi-Generational Villain Trio

Once the new Girigo app is activated, it draws Kwon Si-won right back into the mix. This creates a terrifying, multi-generational villain hierarchy:

  • Min-soo codes and updates the app in the real world.
  • Na-ri acts as the front-line chaotic muscle seeking revenge.
  • Si-won sits at the top as the "Queen" mastermind, orchestrating the digital curse from the deepest layer of the spirit realm and secretly using Na-ri as a pawn.

⚔️ Part 3: The 3-vs-3 Tactical Shaman War

To fight back, the heroes split into two coordinated teams. In the real world, the other brother-in-law teams up with Geon-woo (Se-ah's boyfriend) to track down Min-soo's physical servers. Meanwhile, the core group dives into the spirit realm, creating a perfectly mirrored 3-vs-3 tactical matchup:

  1. Hye-ryung vs. Si-won (The Brains): Hye-ryung refuses to join the evil ghosts and teams up with the shamans instead! Using that iconic Season 1 line ("sometimes I'm scared of you because of how well you know me"), Hye-ryung uses her intimate past knowledge of Si-won's mind to predict the ghosts' every move, acting as the team's master strategist.
  2. Haetsal & Bangwool vs. Min-soo's Curse (The Brawn): Haetsal finally steps out of her house, using the raw spirit power inside her to fight. She would normally be overwhelmed by rogue spirits, but the brother-in-law (Bangwool) uses his injured, ghost-seeing eye as a permanent shield to ground her. Since Haetsal has "made doors" before, she uses Hye-ryung's predictions to manifest escape paths and barriers right where the curse strikes.
  3. Se-ah vs. Na-ri (The Heart): While Haetsal and Hye-ryung hold the defensive line, Se-ah uses the opening to talk directly to Na-ri, trying to reach her friend's corrupted heart with words.

🥹 Part 4: The Heartbreaking Realization & The Perfect Happy Ending

During the climax, Se-ah’s emotional plea finally cracks through the madness. Na-ri opens her eyes and realizes Si-won has just been using her as a pawn. Overwhelmed with regret, Na-ri tries to run back to Se-ah, shouting for help.

But it is almost too late—Si-won's dark coding manipulation takes over, pulling Na-ri's spirit strings like a helpless puppet and forcing her body to attack. However, through the combined strength of the 3-vs-3 team, they break Si-won's digital code once and for all.

Instead of a tragedy, the season ends on a beautiful note of reconstructed friendships and deep healing:

  • Si-won and Hye-ryung heal their past trauma, let go of their hatred, and peacefully cross over to the afterlife hand-in-hand as best friends.
  • Na-ri’s soul is freed from the vortex, and she wakes up from her coma in the real-world hospital. The final scenes show her and Se-ah sitting together, slowly rebuilding their broken bond.
  • Haetsal is finally free to live a normal life outside her house permanently, because the brother-in-law's gifted eye acts as her constant protector.

Question about si won Spoiler

I still don't understand where the follow up is supposed to be with the whole si won desecrating her mother's altar and angering the gods is. I mean, the talisman the mother gave hye ryung was supposed to protect si won from divine retribution (with those centipedes) and yet what got her was hye ryung's curse.

S2 Speculation?

I just completed the show and why is no one talking about Bangwool’s eye? Like as the show ended it sort of showed that the curse has gotten to him or something and even Haetsal seemed psyched. What do you think?

Episode 3 Comparison to my Nightmares

Just finished episode 3. I always log my dreams and nightmares as soon as I wake up. The way Se-ah cannot look back in the other realm made me realized I have never ever looked behind me in a nightmare. I have always look forward. Hopefully I don’t have one tonight or I might now look back.😭

My theory about the curse

Despite Hyeong-Wook no one died after him. So the curse that created Hyeryung was that the people who betrayed her (Siwon and her crush) would die and that’s it, my theory is that I think that the curse that Siwon created wasn’t that “every person who will grant a wish through the app will die”, I think personally think is about a group of friends, and if I think a little be better it’s may be btw two people Hyeryong and Siwon / Seah and Nari. Nari was jealous of the fact that Seah “took her place in the group” she even admit it in the second ep, Hyeryong also wanted Siwon life in a certain way (the multimedia club), But I think the four girls all have things in common without any of them being the perfect copy. If you see what I mean, it’s not a simple copy-and-paste of the girls from the past into the future.

But it’s the same patterns: a crush, being excluded from a group, jealousy…

So for me the curse that Siwon created is: May what happened to us (Siwon and Hyeryong) happen to others.
And I also believe that the spirit behind the power of the curse was already in Siwon’s family

If Wishes Could Kill (my interpretation/theory) Spoiler

After finishing the show, I honestly don’t think Hye Rung and Siwon created the curse completely on their own. I think there was already some higher spiritual force/entity tied to Siwon’s family and her mother was trying to protect both girls from it the entire time.
The bloody room scene, the dead crows, Siwon’s mother constantly apologizing and saying “forgive my daughter,” and the way she desperately tries to protect Siwon all make me think she knew something much bigger was attached to their family. I think Siwon misunderstood everything because she blamed her mother’s shamanism for her father’s death, but I actually think the mother may have been trying to HOLD BACK whatever higher power was already affecting them.
Once the mother dies, there’s nobody left protecting the girls and everything spirals. I think the entity started amplifying emotions that were already there:
Hye Rung’s loneliness and heartbreak, Siwon’s resentment/paranoia, and now Na Ri’s humiliation and abandonment issues. Which eventually leads Hye Rung to create the original curse through the dolls/ritual.

My other theory is that Hye Rung and Siwon became two different parts of the curse after death.
Hye Rung seems bound BY the rules of the app, the 24 hour cycle, appearing with her slit throat towards the beginning of the show and appearing her normal self in the last episode, repeating trauma, being tied to the wish users. Meanwhile Siwon seems OUTSIDE the rules entirely. I think Siwon’s wish for Hye Rung’s wish to “continue forever” changed the nature of the curse itself. She basically became the force making sure the curse could never fully end. That’s why Siwon can intervene directly, hurt people in reality, control parts of the spiritual realm, and stop people from destroying the curse. While Hye Rung mostly appears as a ghost trying to guide/help Se Ah.

I also don’t think Na Ri died at the end. There were flowers on Hyeong Wook’s desk back at school but not on Na Ri’s, which makes me think the school didn’t consider her dead. And the others had a memorial for Hyeong Wook but not Na Ri. I think after Se Ah destroyed Siwon’s phone and ended the original curse, Na Ri’s soul/consciousness returned to her body similar to Se Ah and Ha Jun’s sister.
I also don’t think the app itself is necessarily cursed anymore just because it still exists/opened in the final scene. The app existed BEFORE the supernatural corruption. I think Se Ah destroyed the ORIGINAL curse tied to Hye Rung and Siwon, but the emotional conditions that created it still exist. Which honestly makes the ending creepier because another curse could probably form again.
And I definitely think Na Ri will be at the center of it if there was ever another season because she never really got emotional closure and still feels deeply wronged by the rest of the group and everything that happened. What I’m still intrigued by is what exactly Hyeong Wook’s discord friend’s role is in all of this and why Na Ri is getting help from him. Also why would Na Ri’s phone passcode be Siwon’s birthday? Is it symbolic? Or is there a deeper connection between them?

possible theory + plotholes Spoiler

just recently finished watching and i have certain questions plus theories i wanted to ask

  1. first we got to know the death countdown would stop if someone makes another wish related to it so then why didn’t anyone wish for the death countdown to stop instead of going such lengths to save seahs’s life (unless ofc we cannot make that wish by the rules but again it’s ambiguous and never really mentioned).

  2. nari’s wish countdown stopped when geonwoo made the wish but we dont see anyone from the group go such lengths as in the case of seah to free her completely from the curse, also if naris countdown stopped when geonwoo made the wish shouldnt hyewook’s countdown stop too when nari made the wish (but I believe this was not possible cause nari wished for him to d word).

  3. siwon wished for the hyerung’s curse to continue even after she dies but we get to see it was not hyerung’s wish thats haunting them after 3 years but siwon’s above final wish. So what curse was siwon talking about? i have one theory about this is that hyerung actually cursed siwon and gitae by wishing their death using the deolmi and thats why only both of them were affected, but siwon didn’t know that and thought she cursed the app.
again its not properly explored so we can only feed on the theories.

  4. there was actually no use for geonwoo to go such lengths to sneak into the school with nari and find siwon’s record in the nurse files. cause ultimately we got to know the girl had a face cut which ultimately contributed nothing to the story. i get he wanted to test nari and or find seah but it was stupid to me cause nothing ever came out from that expidition.

these were few of the points I thought of when I finished the series, feel free to drop yours in the comments too, i would love to read more theories!

Something I realised when responding to another post ..

Hye-ryung failed to protect Si-Won using the Amulet (mom told her it was necessary to protect to Si-won) which is when things start going wrong.

Both Na Ri and Si Won were under demonic possession which amplified their hate, guilt and insecurity which is why they were acting out of nature.

Neither Si-Won nor Na-Ri wanted to harm any of her friends, but they were manipulated. There is a bigger force than them at play here.

Bonus:

  1. The mid-credits scene basically ties back to the start of the series. It shows how the original events unfolded and is repeating with Na Ri again. It basically shows that the demonic entity was luring victims to use the app. Basically the current gang freed Hye-ryun and Si-won from the curse but the entity itself isn't really gone.
  2. When si-won botched the ritual, she tied the app with the shaman wish granting process. This kind of makes sense now because she fails to delete the post and shutdown the server. So the app was already a conduit for making wishes by this time and the countdown was a way to collect the blood sacrifice to fulfil the wish. Si-won's wish just trapped both their souls.
  3. Hyeong-wook died when the counter hit zero but then Na Ri's wish also came true(this part is ambiguous but both wishes are fulfilled as a result). Geon-woo gets possessed even before the timer ends because they were trying to look through the code and stop the app itself (more like cheat and get his wish without paying the sacrifice). The entity says "you think you can stop this ? your friends all going to die because of this."

What do you think about Na-ri in "If wishes could kill"?

Honestly, I think Na-ri is a good person deep down. Of course she tried to kill Se ha, but she was possessed! She felt sad that Se ha lied about her relationship with Kang ha joon and was scared because she killed her friend.

This is just my opinion. Please share yours! :3

The Girigo app can be downloaded in real time.

Curiosity got the best of me, in so I decided to search if the app exists—and it does.

Easier than said, I simply typed "Girigo" in the search bar of the App Store and lo and behold, 2 apps popped up.

I chose the one similar to the app in the said series.

Scrolling down there were rules and instructions—all in Korean, I plugged them in google translate and here's what it said:

Software features:

  1. Two types of wishes (text + video): You can create wish cards that allow previewing text. Videos are recorded entirely in selfie mode, and after trimming sections, filters are applied and then saved to the archive.
  2. Clear wish categories: You can filter by “Category” and “Time,” and both lists and details are displayed on one screen.
  3. Dark-tone minimalist UI: The information hierarchy is simple and easy to view even at night. Wish cards offer various visual themes and can be made more personal when shared.
  4. Safe and convenient: Wishes are stored on the device and are not uploaded. You can edit, share, or delete them anytime, and if needed, save them to your photo album.

How to use:

  1. On the home screen, go to “Text Wish” or “Video Wish Recording,” choose the duration stage and category, then complete creation.
  2. For text wishes, check the style on the preview screen and save it to the wish archive, or save the card image to your photo album or share it.
  3. For video wishes, record according to the guide or select a clip, check editing and filters, then save it to the wish archive. You can replay and send it from the wish detail page.
  4. In the wish archive, you can view your wishes or check a countdown timer. You can edit, link, or modify entries if needed (more details depend on the wish detail screen guide).

As a conclusion, you can think that this tool is for recording wishes with a timer/countdown until it comes true, all videos are said to JUST uploaded to the user's device and not uploaded to servers or the account.

It seems innocent, sure.

So, are YOU willing to record a WISH and have it come TRUE?

Question about the last episode Spoiler

So we see that Hye-ryung is freed after the first red phone(or what we thought was the red phone) is broken, but Si-won remains at the root of the curse.

My question is: why is Si-wons maeyung inside the spirit realm while Hyes is in the real world?
