She is four and a half, and I am making her a punk witch for Halloween. This is my first battle jacket as well, and the process is absolute junk food. I am delighted with how it is turning out. :) Lots more to stitch- I still have several patches to add. Everything is ironed on for positioning and I'll stitch the edges, both for aesthetic and durability. I think I'm going to add a little more detail to the jack o lantern stack on the back, but I doubt I will paint them orange. Just line work for now. Going to do some studs in the upper chest/back. I have a bunch of low pyramid studs in brass. I know silver is more traditional, but I'm working with what I have on hand. I'll be sure to share when it's finished.

Still working on it! The back patch isn’t finished but it’s gonna say “As Mad As A March Hare”. The hare itself is just paper stitched onto fabric.

I will be wearing this to Synthrave Live (UK synthwave festival https://www.synthravelive.com/ ). The front is missing a 3TEETH patch, as I am waiting for them to go back on sale. The back is still very much work in progress.

I got it a couple months ago on a concert, but I don’t know if the white layer on the back is supposed to fall of or not because it is coming loose

I want to make my first battle vest and I'm contemplating what jacket to use. I own a leather jacket, but I'd like to keep it the way it is. There are more then enough denim jackets in my local thriftstore, so maybe a black denim jacket? But i really like how corduroy feels. (I want it to be long sleeves and i'm kinda picky with fabrics 🤷)
Do you know how corduroy behaves with iron on patches, pins etc?
How did you choose the "right jacket" to start with?

I’m not sure if this counts as a battle jacket, but I thought y’all might appreciate it. I’ve been taking photos of graffiti for about a decade, and I’ve been embroidering it on this jacket on and off over the past year.

The whitish stuff behind most of the designs is water soluble stick-on interfacing; it’ll dissolve in the wash once I’ve stitched over it. I printed these designs onto a sheet (after digitally tracing over the graffiti photos I’ve taken), but you can also draw on it and use that as a guide.

Need to fix some of the patches up. Lmk y’all’s thoughts

I finally have enough patches for a battle jacket and am currently learning to sew, so I thought I'd make my own. Does anyone have or knows where I can get a good pattern for a battle jacket vest? I plan on using black denim recovered from some old jeans.

I was wondering if certain colors give of certain vibes or impressions? Like the standard blue, black or grey denim, but also the more out there colors like red, green, yellow etc.

I've got a real PITA nickel allergy. A few hours of costume jewelry or a belt buckle touching my skin and I'm getting contact dermatitis. I can wear stainless steel jewelry and get piercings with implant grade titanium or stainless jewelry. Are there any options for getting jacket spikes that won't give me an itchy rash?

My band is playing its first ever show in December and I am committed to looking like a complete animal for the show, and I’ve always wanted a battle jacket, so here we are. Back piece and lettering done by me with pencils and paint markers. Aside from more patches, which will be added over time, is there anything else you would add?

Painted some studs with neon green spray paint and multiple clear coats. Here's a photo of it under UV light also. They remind me of green Skittles lol
