I do a full beat everyday for school, but by the end of the day (I can’t touch it up) it’s oily and cakey like in the 4th pic even though I use a thick moisturizer, primer, setting spray and loose powder. I have acne prone, dry skin. On top of that, my acne is really red and even using color corrector, foundation, and concealer you can still see it. Product recommendations would be so appreciated 🥹
Also what do I need to change about it? I do it in a really specific way but I’m always welcome to advice and feel like it could definitely be more flattering. I only really care how it looks in school because we can’t have our phones and theres zero mirrors. HELPP.
(Please ignore the awkwardness of some of these pictures they’re all either for posts like this or ones people have saved since I don’t rlly take them 😭)

i decided to order the colorgram aegyo sal pen, not for contouring my eye bags but to contour my nose! i think the shade fits me well, and i find it so much easier to control than using a brush with powder contour. i still go over everything with the powder contour and highlight to blend and set everything, but i think it was a good addition to my collection :) same for this gradient eyeshadow single from noiricorn, it’s so beautiful!
also this is probably a very unpopular opinion, but i personally cannot stand the exaggerated aegyo sal contour that’s making its way to the states. it just looks uncanny and disturbing to me 😭 i know the purpose is to mimic the eye bags that children have make you look younger, but i really do hate the effect and don’t understand the appeal at all 🫠

I posted a couple days ago about looking for green marble for sale in LA and was pointed to Frends beauty in valley village. They were AMAZING. The store is MASSIVE, about 25% standard cosmetics like a sally beauty and 75% pro, theatrical and SFX. The stock/selection of not only pro cosmetics but hair stuff was MASSIVE, and the staff were SO NICE. They were so nice and helpful, helped me find stuff, had lovely attitudes and did not ask for a license of any kind. If you live in or are visiting LA check them out.

I want to find those that have this kind of color story without being too pricey.
I notice most of the metallic palettes I can find in the market usually fall under this fourth pic, i want the look which is a little wet, like the previous ones.
Any recommendations?
I prefer a full palette instead of buying singles more.

Hey y'all
I really would like to nail a halo eye, but I feel like something about them just doesn't click for me technique wise.
I decided to use Halloween as an excuse to turn out one with super dramatic colors so I can really see my technique and where I'm going wrong.
Here is my general process for this makeup:
- base as usual, however my base is usually white and in this case I decided to sketch out the Gen shape of the halo by using my nyx jumbo black bean pencil as the base for the black and milk as the base for the orange.
- once the bases are down, I started packing on color in the general shape
- once the color was packed down I tried lightly blending the seams with a clean blending brush and my finger, shaping and applying more color as needed
But I think something is wrong both with the shaping of my segments and clearly with pigment placement/packing.
I don't do too many super high chroma super high saturation eye looks so def part of the issue is that I dont know how to lay down STARK colors just yet.
Anyway would love feedback! Hopefully the photos are okay, I have to zoom and crop them for privacy purposes but I tried to make them as clear as possible. I know my right eye is harder to see in the more closed position but my left eye was the better one anyway lmao

I use this blush in dolce vita and the Natasha Denona berry pop blush trio thing literally every day.
unfortunately both are being discontinued, I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I’m going to buy this but what do I do after it’s gone </3
I already bought a new blush (saie in chilly) but not obsessed like I have been with the nars.
Just wondering if anyone here uses the same stuff and has found a shade replacement!!!
Xoxo thanks guys.

lol the lashes were pretty hard to work with but I thought it came out kinda cute 👻
I try to do some kind of Halloween themed eye look every year. I’ve tried doing full face paint and stuff before but it never looks right.

Pictures after wearing for 8 hours today. The. mascara and eyeliner are a both waterproof.
Also pictured, the products I use.
Im a 39F Everytime I use any brand waterproof makeup, specifically eyeliner and mascara. They pope end up at the bottom lids by the end of the day. I'm not sure if just my bottom lids are too oily. Because it seems like my face is only oily around the eyes, and maybe that's why the transfer happens. And if it is the reason that's fine, I don't know a way to remedy it. So hopefully I can get some advice on here.
Also, as i'm getting older, i'm noticing my makeup becoming more cakey, and these are the products that I use, and i'm not quite sure why it keeps on bing chaky and won a good brand would be because i'm getting married and less than six months, and doing my own makeup. And am willing to pay, have the makeup store for good makeup that will last

What mascara has everyone been loving lately? Even better if it's available in a mini.
I am currently using Maybelline Sky High Tinted Lash Primer. However, it has been drying up really fast for me, so I am looking to use something else.

Ive never used white liner before . This is the first time. This is how it looks.
No skin prep or makeup or anythg on lips only white liner on lids and waterline followed by defining the eye with black kajal. What can I do to make it look better. I feel like it looks weirder irl. And moreso like im a ghost lol. Perfect for Halloween i think. I feel like since my eyelashes are pretty thick they kinda make the liner look interrupted and grainy. Any help?

Hi all!
I’m wondering if any of you who are experienced with colour theory could help me out.
I have no idea what my undertone is and what colours look good on me. I have fair-light skin (Caucasian); my body has a yellow-ish tone, especially when I compare it to my pink-toned husband lol. But my face is quite rosy… I flush easily and it is a peachy rose kind of colour. My lips are quite pigmented (rosy-red) and I find that almost all lip colours look terrible on me lol.
Any sort of cool brown tone looks grey on my lips, but warm toned colours look orange. the only colours I like tend to be a sheer red or a rosy-mauve.
what does this mean?! am I neutral? light olive? cool? please help lol

Hi cuties :,)
I recently fell into a rabbit hole with the hourglass ambient light finishing powders.
Don’t laugh at me but I went to two sephoras, one Nordstrom and one ulta to try out the single compact ambient powder in diffused light but there were none in store 😭. I only saw the palettes of 3 compacts but I don’t think they’re exactly the same things so I only swatched on my hand but not try on the face..
I’m so close to ordering the single compact off the website but an error keeps popping up.. so is this a sign that I shouldnt get it hahah. I know it’s probably not that pricey to some people but I’m on a budget right now and I know I can return it if I don’t want it. I have oily combination skin too, and not a fan of too much shine and glitter either. Someone tell me I don’t need this 😴
