Question Bikeparts Marketplace
I'm building BikeParts Marketplace, a marketplace designed to make buying and selling used mountain-bike parts easier.
One of the main features I'm developing helps riders figure out whether a used wheel is likely to fit their bike before they buy it.
I'm looking for a few mountain bikers who have bought used parts, upgraded their wheels, or had trouble figuring out compatibility.
I'd love for you to spend about 15 minutes trying the prototype and telling me honestly what works, what doesn't, and what would make it useful to you.
This is early-stage testing, not a sales pitch. I'm looking for honest feedback, including criticism.
Comment below or send me a message if you're interested. Thanks!

Question What to do with 90's mountain bike
Was gifted from a friend and unsure how much money and effort to put into this.
The front shocks need to be rebuilt but the rebuild kit is $200+. Not sure what to do with this relic.
Is it even worth riding? It has the XTR group set with a Fox shock ( looks Ok).

Bike Picture/NBD Great day getting after it in New Hampshire
galleryThird ever MTB ride, most enjoyable as selfishly, the first mile was not 10% up rocks. Steady 3-6% up the first 2 miles; technical bits up and down, and the last ¾ steady 3-6% downhill with some rocks and roots to dodge

Question Looking for opinions on trails to visit (UK)
So I've been made to take some holiday days at work as I had too many to carry over until next year. So I've got a week off end of November and I've decided I'm going to use the time to take a trip to a trail/bike park further afield than I usually go.
For context my local trails are Cannock Chase and Hicks Lodge. I've also been to Sherwood Pines a few times and I've done the red trails at both Sherwood and Cannock.
I like the more technical rides with some jumps and fast flowy bits too. I also have a Forestry England membership which is nice for the free parking. I'm happy to pay for a decent bike park however.
My two bikes I have are a VooDoo Canzo Pro trail bike and a Ragley BigWig hardcore hardtail. I've sent the Ragley down Stile Cop so happy to try anything.
If anyone could give me a decent choice of trails to visit and a little info about them that would be great! 😄

Off-Topic Tubeless Rim Tape Tool
Hi everyone! My name is Cadel, and I’m a senior at Appoquinimink High School. For a school project, I’m designing a tool to make applying tubeless rim tape to bike wheels easier and more efficient.
I created a quick survey to gather feedback from cyclists and bike mechanics. It only takes a couple of minutes, and I’d really appreciate your input!
Thank you for your support!

Bike Picture/NBD OBD... Post your old bike when it was new...
Photo from summer 2005, in a corner of my tiny NYC apartment temporarily turned into bike workshop.
I was building what I thought was going to be my dream MTB, on a budget. Entirely built up from parts, with a few carryovers from my previous bike, like the derailleur, shifters, and saddle. Superlight 26" wheels with Hope hubs and whatever Mavic rims were the lightest and skinniest at the time, 15/16g spokes. Avid BB7 brakes with stainless tubing instead of cable housing (except at the bends). Avid Rollamajig for the derailleur cable. I guess I was really preoccupied with able friction. Reba Race air fork with remote lockout. The funny thing was that the frame was kind of the least considered part - I was hunting for deals on eBay and came across a new 2005 Jamis Dakar XC Pro frame with Fox air shock. I think someone had bought it and stripped it for the XTR groupset and parts to put on another fame, so I got it for a few hundred bucks.
On paper this was a great bike, and I rode it for years, but it never felt completely right to me even after fiddling with different stem lengths, shock travel settings, etc, and I never really warmed up to it. Was my least favorite MTB somehow. I learned from this about building up a bike based only on paper specs. Also learned a lot as my first experience building up a bike from a bare frame with self-sourced parts.

Question Is this one any good?
It's the relatively new evoc torso protector. I really like the design and it seems very well ventilated but it looks kinda flimsy and not very protective (it has CE-2 somehow on the back). Anyone have experiences with this one? Maybe crashed with one?
I've only read mixed reviews about it online

Question Question
Hello guys, I'm confused on what type of MTB I should get, and maybe this is the right place to put my question on.
I'm not entirely new to this bike world, I've owned and still own a couple of bikes but, im trying to decide which bike I should buy next.
The type of riding I would do, would be mostly on asphalt/good terrain, but, at the weekends, I would like to do some harder terrain.
So I would like to have a bike that is good all around, mostly to do many Km but also capable of going offroad and doing a couple jumps with no problem.
I've seen people recommending Trail / XC / All Mountain.
If someone could help me, I would be grateful.

Other A short MTB ride along Estonia's Baltic coast
galleryVIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/Dfu_mrzLKgk
Went for a quick ride around Keila-Joa in northern Estonia. Some really nice singletracks through the forest and along the Baltic Sea. Nothing too technical, just fun trails and great scenery.
Took the drone along and put together a short 4-minute video. Thought I'd share it here!

Question Can anyone tell me what this bike is worth?
galleryHello, I work in the trades and just worked for a client who is moving and gifted me their mountain bike as a thank you. I’ve never really been into mountain bikes and I just want to get a handle on what I was given and what it’s worth. If this is the wrong place I apologize!

Question 3 year olds first “MTB”?suggestions
Looking for bike suggestions for my little guy. I don’t know much about bikes but he’s shown a strong interest and I want to help him get into it.
He’s mastered his push bike, and he’s asked for big kid pedals. He loves the bike park and has a good bit of confidence. We go at least once/week.
His height is 3’1. He fits a 12” pretty well right now but I’m looking at 14” bikes with low min. saddle heights because they tend to have more specialized features.
I know Spawns are top of the line. Im willing to spend the money, I just think without parents who could take him on real trails or teach him anything (*yet- we* plan to get into it when we can), he may be just as well served by something more simple.
For now though, he’s just riding at the bike park and flat local trails.
I want something that’s easy to maneuver, lightweight, something he’ll feel safe on.
Would love to hear opinions/suggestions, or what worked for well your little people :)
