Posting this with a heavy heart. I’m a 25M working remotely from Mysore, and honestly, I’ve been feeling really lonely lately.

The reason I’m writing this is that my only friends here are also moving out of the city, some for higher studies and some for jobs. My other friends are already in different cities, so once they leave, I’ll basically have no one around. Most days it’s just work and then sitting at home, and I don’t really know what to do about it.

I’m not a gym person and not into the party scene either. I’m just a chill, decent guy looking for some company and a reason to step out of the house.

I don’t know if y’all remember but back in the day there was a place called just gelato. They used to be on 8th cross Jayalakshmi Puram but then they moved to contour road and then fully disappeared. I still remember the very cute couple that ran the place. They were so kind. We were regular customers and honestly that place was waaaayyy ahead of it’s time. I see the gelato counter at old house and I’m like what happened to the OG gelato place that was Mysore’s very own 😭😭

I was talking to a friend who was visiting for Dasara and he mentioned he was blown away by the World of Mysore pak's Mysore pak while visiting chamundi hills and was saying "they claim to be the best in Mysuru and it was accurate according to him" and I was like buh....

I know food is a subjective thing and people would have their presence and besides the social media hype, WOMP Isn't really that great in my opinion. But 1 thing I have to say is that in terms of Mysore pak and Peda Nandini/KMF is second to none not just in Mysore by anywhere in the world (yes you can say personal bias).

So sorry, World of Mysore pak, you aren't even the best on The same street as KMF is up on the other end of the street.
