Why and how did you start supporting PSG? I don’t know à lot of foreigners supporting PSG but it’s nice to see that PSG is popular among foreign fans. Paname influence le monde ❤️💙

Discussion Is Estevao signing possible in January
To add on the question, would he be better addition than Ibrahim Maza from Leverkusen, who is currently getting linked to a winter transfer? I certainly think Estevao would be a far better reinforcement...

Beautiful tribute from Mayulu to our warrior Kvara. A thing of beauty in the midst of all chaos. 💙🤍❤️

Discussion Isn't this the most obvious solution
Firstly, from the Bayern front three, he is my favourite! I just love his work rate, never giving up attitude, pressing work and finishing.
Last season he scored 15 goals and 14 assists in the league in 32 matches. Along with 10 g/a in Champions league.
He is 29 and he'll most probably be close to 31 by the time Kvara comes out of injury. Kvara would be closer to 27.
I believe he is at the peak of his powers and will function for at least 2 more seasons. He is the perfect solution to our frontline and Luis Enrique would definitely love to have him.

Discussion My thoughts on how each player doing so far roughly one quarter through the season relative to expectations
NOTE: All thoughts based on relative expectations (not overall quality/output) for the first quarter of the season.
Ballon D’Or
Exceeding Expectations
Meeting Expectations
Needs Improvement
Ligue 2
Kvara – Needs Improvement
Before his injury he was explosive, but was lacking the quality in his finishing. Far too often, he ends up forcing a shot that is blocked by the defender. I really hope he takes time to recover both physically and mentally for next season.
Dembélé – Meeting Expectations
He had a bit of a slow start to the season after a long summer. He actually might have come back too soon. He’s also had moments of brilliance. It’s also kind of hard to beat your own expectations once you’ve won the everything.
Doué – Ballon D’Or
He’s playing like this is his team. He’s dangerous with the ball. Opposing defenses are targeting him more than our other attackers for a reason, which is because he’s basically unstoppable in space.
Ferran – Meeting Expectations
He came in hot as a backup. He’s proven to be a mixed bag in finishing, but it’s basically what we signed up for. He’s so good on and off the ball. If he could improve his finishing it would be very hard to bench him.
Godts – Needs Improvement
He got his first goal, but doesn’t look that confident on the ball. It’s very likely that we’ll have to rely on him at some point this season due to injuries, so it’s important he gets that confidence up.
Akliouche – Exceeding Expectations
He’s looked like a proper PSG winger from Day 1. He’s earned his starts. In fact, he’s starting way more often than we thought he would. The only thing keeping him from the top rating is more goals.
Mayulu – Exceeding Expectations
The difference maker against Lyon. He hasn’t gotten a lot of minutes, but he’s looked like he belongs when he plays, which is all we can really ask for.
Fabián – Meeting Expectations
The forever unsung hero of PSG. He does exactly what is asked of him. He’s rarely out of position, but he’s also not been taking the best shots on goal.
Vítinha – Meeting Expectations
He’s a baller. If he has the ball in space at the top of the box, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be a goal. I’m not really sure what he could do for a higher rating, simply because his baseline is so good.
João Neves – Exceeding Expectations
He knows how to rise to the occasion when needed. His Barcelona game was incredible. He deserves his goal and almost got it with a bicycle kick against Lyon.
WZE – Meeting Expectations
He hasn’t looked great at the fullback position, but I’m not going to count that against him when it’s not his main position. He still looks confident and reliable wherever he is on the field even if he contributed to Lamine Yamal’s goal.
Beraldo – Needs Improvement
He’s kind of an enigma. I’m just not sure what he brings to the table. Fortunately he doesn’t bring us down either. I almost rated him as Meets Expectations for that same reason. Maybe this one was harsh.
Dro – Meeting Expectations
He’s still a prospect, but he’s earning his minutes. Unless he causes us to lose games single handedly, I’m never going to be harsh on an 18 year old. I’m not worried if he ends up playing more during an injury crisis. I’m excited to see how his career unfolds.
Nuno Mendes – Meeting Expectations
His suspension at the beginning of the season was unnecessary and stupid, but he continues to be the most dangerous fullback in the world when playing. Hopefully he can remain healthy during later stages of UCL.
Lucas Digne – Ligue 2
I’m not writing him off yet but the fact that the public wrote him off starting against Barcelona behind Lucas Hernandez and WZE says quite a bit. For an experienced former Premier League player, I expected more.
Lucas Hernandez – Exceeding Expectations
He showed up when it mattered most against Barcelona. He was everywhere on the pitch and bagged himself a goal. It’s nice to know he still has that dog in him.
Pacho – Meeting Expectations
He’s pretty much exactly the Pacho we know. He hasn’t been spotless, but he’s shown up when needed.
Marquinhos – Meeting Expectations
Our Captain still reads the game as well as any CB in the world. The perfect pairing with Pacho.
Zabarnyi – Meeting Expectations
To be honest, the expectations were quite low after last season, but his match against Lyon showed that he has something in him. Hopefully in Marquinhos’ absence he can play up to the occasion.
Hakimi – Meeting Expectations
Another baller. He struggles a bit against low blocks, but when he has space he shows that he’s the best RB in the world.
Safonov – Meeting Expectations
He’s almost always got one mistake in him, but he can turn around and make a game-saving stop. He’s probably our weakest link, but also probably the same player as last year, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Not reviewed – Ndjantou, Boly, Chevalier, Longoni

CulturePSG TSS CulturePSG: PSG/OL (2-0), individual performances (English translation).
Safonov: The Russian goalkeeper was just as impeccable, and even decisive, against the opposition attackers' shots as he occasionally found himself in rather awkward positions when dealing with aerial balls. His save down low against Duranville was one of the turning points of the match, and Safonov was particularly clean overall in dealing with Lyon's attempts. However, he also had a few unsuccessful sorties for aerial balls, which is rather unusual for him.
Hakimi: Captain in Marquinhos's absence, the Parisian full-back wasted little time getting going and covered the right flank from the beginning to the end of the match with absolutely incredible energy. Constantly making runs up and down his side, Hakimi enabled many of PSG's attacks to develop, and his ability to attack the space in behind was a real asset. In the final third, he also showed a little more composure. Defensively, he was rarely tested and made several good recovery runs, but he was beaten by the feint that gave Duranville the opposition's biggest chance.
Zabarnyi: Positioned on the right side of central defence in place of Marquinhos, the Ukrainian showed from his very first touches a determination to assert himself against his opponents, and he succeeded. What was new was that he managed to do so throughout the entire match, showing strength in duels and control of the space in behind. He even finished his performance with one final good intervention inside the box. Ultimately, it was with the ball that he was most neutral, which is unusual for him.
Pacho: The Ecuadorian made a sharp, commanding intervention inside his own box right from the start, setting the tone, and he did not budge an inch for the rest of the match. Poor Merah was physically overwhelmed, and Pacho had a comfortable evening, particularly when dealing with the opposition's long balls. He was well positioned to deal with crosses and disciplined when defending counterattacks, and he even played a few excellent passes when building from the back.
Zaïre-Emery: Deployed at left-back once again despite his poor substitute appearance against Lamine Yamal six days earlier, the young right-footer was not caught out early by Nuamah this time, making an excellent recovery run. However, the same Nuamah got the better of him later in the match, and Zaïre-Emery largely seemed to be struggling to keep up with the game, seeing little defensive action and, above all, having very little influence on the ball.
Hernandez replaced him in the same position and was not tested much defensively, as Lyon had already thrown in the towel by that point. He made his presence felt offensively by playing a part in the build-up to the 1-0 with a good forward run.
Vitinha: The Parisian holding midfielder immediately took charge, and his tremendous work rate obviously had a major impact on the match, with every PSG build-up going through him. Vitinha struggled against Lyon's crowded central midfield, although he managed some lovely passes through traffic, but his through balls became more precise and more frequent in the second half. It is worth noting that, despite receiving an early yellow card, he put in a huge defensive shift, winning duels when dealing with counterattacks.
João Neves: Deployed once again as the right-sided central midfielder, the Portuguese midfielder found himself sacrificed by the tactical flow of the match. He was the one covering Hakimi's countless forward runs down the right, so the Portuguese player often found himself far from goal. That did not prevent him from having his usual major impact in winning the ball back, but he was understandably less involved in attacking, despite a completely outrageous sequence of play inside the box.
Godts replaced him for the final half-hour and took up a position on the left wing. After getting himself going with a clearance off a corner, he mostly seemed completely out of sync with his teammates, making even the simplest ball difficult to play. Nevertheless, he managed to lay the ball off to Mayulu for the 1-0, which visibly restored his confidence, as his goal for 2-0 capped off a well-executed move of his own making.
Fabian Ruiz: After a start to the match in which his attempts to play long balls were largely unsuccessful, the left-sided central midfielder embodied this PSG side that moves the ball forward without too much trouble but cannot find the killer pass near the box. His second-half performance followed the same pattern, with plenty of good work, particularly defensively, but greater difficulty executing the right action in the final third, despite an excellent pass to release Doué into space. He took plenty of shots at goal again, but too many were straight at the goalkeeper.
Akliouche: In a very free role on the right wing, the left-footed player regularly showcased his technical quality, producing some classy first touches, but he nevertheless struggled to genuinely unsettle the defence, lacking a certain spontaneity and explosiveness around goal. His ability to make himself available may have been better expressed in a deeper position towards the end of the match, where his combination play was still evident alongside a genuine defensive presence.
Ndjantou replaced him for the final ten minutes, and the returning player made a superb entrance. Far from playing like a headless chicken, he instead showed excellent composure on the ball, alternating between moments of slowing things down and moving play forward, as illustrated by his superb assist for the 2-0.
Ferran Torres: Deployed up front but occasionally also seen on the right, the Spaniard confirmed his current poor run of form, particularly his alarming lack of precision in front of goal. Not always easy to find in central areas and not particularly technically adept at holding up the ball either, Ferran Torres nevertheless had quite a few opportunities to become the goalscorer, but he missed them all. His shots were rarely technically well executed, and Greif comfortably saved every one of them. In his favour, he made a few good runs and showed genuine fighting spirit, but that is not much to show for it overall.
Mayulu replaced him for the final half-hour and, after a few well-judged touches, made his first attempt count, opening the scoring with a shot worthy of Doué. As against Barça, his entire substitute appearance was positive, as he managed to make something out of some difficult balls.
Doué: Repositioned on the left wing in place of Kvara, he began his performance with a major individual run that he was unable to finish off, and his game revolved heavily around dribbling, without necessarily producing successful results. He did not attack the space in behind very often and was sometimes positioned a long way from goal on the left, ultimately managing too rarely to find himself in positions where he could hurt the opposition. It was in more central areas that he came close to scoring and then setting up Ferran Torres, during a second half in which playing forward more quickly allowed him to become more threatening. It is worth noting that his corners were generally very poorly taken.
Beraldo replaced him and came on to add more solidity to PSG's defensive base. Mission accomplished, as he intercepted an opposition attack at the start of the move leading to the second goal before finding Ndjantou ahead of him. That would not be his only good pass to the young midfielder.
