Haters of this album might say that this song is too simple for this band, but I think this song is the best song on Coma Ecliptic.

This should be in the Hall of Fame.

Found this old archive footage in my backups from mid-2017. "Silvera" was one of the tracks that completely blew my mind when Magma came out. That main tapping riff and the solo section are incredibly fun but require some serious precision.

Gear used:
- Ibanez XP300FX
- Kustom 12 Gauge

Let me know what you think of the execution and that old-school raw room tone! If you want to see more, check out the full video on YouTube.
P.S. If you are into more technical and heavy stuff, check out my active progressive death/thrash band Incarnator and melodic black metal project Eutonazia Kordax.

What are some of your favorite Dream Theater riffs and guitar parts? I always get a kick out of hearing others favorite moments guitar-wise from Petrucci

An original progressive metal epic all done by myself! It features clean and screaming vocals. Singing is nowhere near peak James Labrie, as it is very Dream Theater in structure. But I do what I can with myself as I am making my debut album. Enjoy! 💜

Hello all, I am the lead guitarist/keyboardist and main composer of the Canadian prog metal band called Octavium! Another member of this sub suggested I drop the album here after putting our song "Washed Out/The Purge of Light" with the funky sax solo on another users post asking for original content. This album is packed full of interesting concepts, recurring themes, it includes a hand made fretless guitar in some sections that i built, i also do the baritone/bass vocals in the song "Grieve Your masters" and I also play one of the bass parts in "Washed Out".So without further ado, here is our album "Bloodleaf Ritual"!

Man. The singles (and this one in particular) have me feeling like this is about to be an especially killer SW album

Absolutely loving the instrumental mix and setting on this one, as well as the lushness of the vocal harmonies.

10 days y’all. Can’t wait

How would you classify/describe this sound? Not sure if it quite qualifies as prog death or perhaps, progressive groove?

I reviewed the debut album by SEK, which is a Krautrock trio that includes the drummer from Elder. Check it out here and let me know what you think!

I really loved this album start to finish, the basslines, the drumming, the vocals and that fucking vocal range chefs kiss and for me (absurd opinion incoming) its on the same level as onset of putrefaction and epitaph by necrophagist in terms of technicality and melody, was curious to see if anyone shares this opinion with me 👀

Technical/Progressive Death Metal from Portland, OR, USA, with some Melodic Death influences here and there.
