Seriously! The animation was already pretty good but s9 really took it to another level. Forgive the glazing but I just had to talk about how awesome it looks!

He’s a BIT character assface, he can do whatever. Obviously he can bring Diane back, obviously he can do whatever stupid question you’re going to ask. This is like asking “can bugs bunny beat Goku?” Yeah of course he can, he once turned into a woman and survived a train crash in 2 seconds.

Even if we take him seriously, a character with the power to re-write time any way he deems fit as far as we know, can absolutely do anything your tiny brain can come up with.

Stop taking that awful episode seriously

2 years wait (worth it)

GO BETHS GO 🗣️🗣️🗣️

The peaceful, selfless Morty who became moss and recycled shit into food died in S9E8 when Morty kept the Sympathid in for too long. It put a hole in his brain where his sympathy centers used to be, and he ended the episode unable to find joy in things he used to. S9E9, even though he gets out-assholed by delinquent rich kids and is on the same page as Summer the whole time, Morty is at his personal low for giving a shit about other people (even giving beer to a 1-minute-old baby). S9E10 he is still feeling empty enough that he decides to go funeral-surfing, spying on the suffering of alternate versions of his loved ones to feel something. Then the whole thing with Sober Rick. That's not the same kid we started this season with. In fact by the end, our Morty feels more like Evil Morty than his old self. My bet is that this is going to be a permanent thing.

What Rick & Morty quotes aren’t particularly profound or maybe weren’t supposed to be memorable but they live in your head rent free anyway. Mine are:

“I’m out, I quit… whose kidneys are these?”

“I told you not to touch those eggs! They were too wet!” &

“You made me go to a wedding”… (oh yeah and killed my best friend.)

I can't help but love Cisco. The whole montage of Rick and Space Beth having to make a plan on the spot while we hear Rick's earlier talk about how he's 100% confident Cisco will be there and won't let them down was the funniest moment in Season 8 to me.

Rip to his VA, Eric Bauza

I hope you guys remember when Rick lied to him and told him that. That was a great episode and Jerry has grown and become useful since then. I think the character development is needed

At the end of the snake episode, Rick punches Morty giving him a black eye for not staying in the car and making Rick spend Christmas trying to stop snakes from invading earth. But Morty is a pain in the ass a lot. I don’t think Rick would straight up punch him like that, even if he’s an abusive asshole.

Rick and morty

I’ve been wanting to get in the comics while waiting for season 10 and I actually want to read them in order so I’m not all over the place since there looks to be so many of them. But is this the first official comic release that was published?

On my latest rewatch I noticed Morty barely stutters anymore after season 3. He pushes back, he lies, he makes cold calls. Rick stays the same guy the whole time. The kid who got dragged along is turning into someone who could actually outlast him. I don't think the show gets enough credit for that slow shift.

noticed this in the background of this scene lmao

I had seen the first two seasons several times way back. I lost access to the show in Canada for a while, and just didn't feel like getting back into it until very recently. I followed the show's development, hard not to notice the szechuan sauce thing, the firing and cast change, but, still never watched.

I think the season premiere and finale of season 9 is some of the best writing the show's ever had. Rick's "No, Morty, it did." at the end of the first episode was goddamned devastating. And when Morty helps Rick develop portal tech, then, his nice family gets slaughtered and Beth commits suicide is just as horrifying.

Genuinely fantastic episodes.

Here’s my theory for why our Rick would have memories of a younger Morty, and why Birdperson has that picture of Rick holding a newborn Morty. Our Rick may have known that Morty was Rick Prime’s grandson even before Morty was born. I think our Rick periodically stopped by to see whether Rick Prime had come to visit Beth and the kids and, if he had, to “mind-blow” the whole family. But since Rick Prime was the Rickest Rick, he never came back. So after the Battle of Blood Ridge and the creation of the Citadel (maybe the Citadel was our Rick’s watchdog operation looking for Rick Prime), once it was set up, our Rick headed straight to Rick Prime’s version of Beth. He waited to see if Rick Prime would ever show up, and because he ended up watching this Morty grow up, he actually developed some real connections to him.

"Alright fine but you're not touching my (crisper/CRISPR?)"

Hi everyone! So I recently watched five seasons of Rick and Morty back in june. I love sci fi shows, and I really want to do a rewatch of these five seasons and watch the rest too. Usually when I watch a series I fully commit to it and rewatch it fully, but I'm trying not to do that because I genuinely to allocate more time to other things. Thus I was wondering if anyone could give me recommendations for the best episodes from each seasons, so that I can watch those and feel fulfilled without spending days doing it. For reference I'm really into the Diane- Rick lore so if anyone can recommend episodes that focus on that, it would be great!

Hair is natural, portal gun custom, of course.
