Hey there! I work at Sheetz, and I had a question regarding an issue I am having. I'm wondering if I should just talk to my SM or call the hotline about something another assistant manager did.
So this ASM, who I'll call David, was a Supervisor at the time, and had done a number of different things that are very unprofessional. The biggest one however was my boyfriend (I'll call John) had gotten a job at a non-sheetz store across the street, and one of the managers (I'll call Billy) there came into my store. Now David knew that John had gotten a job there, and he knew that Billy was a manager at the store. David had told Billy "Watch out for John, he's been known to sexually harass the female employees here at Sheetz." John is well known here on my shift, 3rds, because he would come here and chill out for a bit while I worked. John has NEVER done such a thing, and the other 3rd supervisor can attest to this. I only learned about it because a different manager at John's work told him that Billy was told this and confirmed it was indeed David that said this.
Some other things that David has done:
He yelled at John when he was waiting to pick up a door dash order that was being prepared, "This shit has got to stop, now!" All John was doing was standing by the online order rack to pick up the order. I was in the middle of handling a customer at the front counter, and John wasn't even talking to me. Just standing there.
David also yelled at a customer who has been coming here since opening day. The customer had told a different employee (one of David's relatives), that David was very grumpy and that it was quite unprofessional. David's relative then broke down in tears saying "I'm the only one who can bad mouth my son." And stormed away, telling David. David then came to the front and yelled at this customer in front of other customers stating "This bullshit has got to stop. This is personal now, and I'm off the clock. You made my mother cry and insulted me behind my back."
David is also just very egotistical and selfish. He's also been known to make unwanted passes at the other female employees.
All of this stuff has happened over the course of a few months, not all at once, but this kind of stuff is very unprofessional and unbecoming of someone who just got promoted to ASM after the fact. I just want to know if I should be going to the employee hotline with this, or talking to my SM when I get a chance to do so when she comes in during the morning.
