Dumb animatic reel for my birthday. It's in spanish tho, but the important part was the joke about turning 30 lol I had fun playing around with sounds!

This is the final animatic for the pilot episode of a series we just premiered on YouTube. We went through about six versions of this animatic before we got to this one which became the blueprint for the short we eventually produced. From start to finish, was a three and a half month process. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to ask any questions you might have!

My drawing skill is about average/Basement King-level. When I asked how good I should be at storyboarding, one industry vet told me I need to "draw very well, very fast". In contrast, others said it's all about clarity and composition over drawing ability, plus many professional storyboards are literally just stick figures. So which is it?

Hi i’m looking for general story feedback and dialogue, Im a beginner storyteller and it’s quite hard for me to focus on what I’m trying to say or why I’m telling this story. I just have the drive to do so. But I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions regarding any shots or story/dialogue advice, help me identify any confusion if possible.

I am a high school senior thinking about what careers are achievable that would allow me to be creative and work in art. Storyboarding has consistently come up in my search for the right career and I know that the conventional way to get a job in it is by first being a storyboard revisionist, but I’m not sure if it is really possible anymore with the market and ai. Also I plan on going to college for communication arts with a focus in storyboarding or character design

Hi all! Here’s another sneak peek of the ‘2110’ short film project next to CC Cynan.
It surely gets better and better as I dive into each frame, and I'm already looking forward to completing this batch to start inking.
Science fiction as a genre has been so far very different to me, until I was given this opportunity to land into a worldbuilding where the once loudest corners can also become stardust in the end.
To all of the Sci-Fi lovers out there, what’s your top pick film that made you fall into the theme? Mine definitely is from my childhood era, with Mars Attack! by Tim Burton.
You can see more of my previous work and contact info in the comments.
Thank you!

Hi there all! How’s your week going?
I’ve actually been working on a sci-fi short film project for a while now along with CC Cynan, being the time to showcase my favourite storyboarding from it.
With this said, I currently got open slots for new projects, either comics or art commissions. My portfolio and contact info are in the comments.
Thank you!

Here’s some examples of what I can do. Some more simple sketchy ones at the end. Please get in touch if you’d like to work with me! Would love to help bring your ideas to life :)

Do you usually storyboard your personal project in this much detail, or do you prefer to improvise?

I am hoping someone here knows Wonder Unit Storyboarder software quite well.
There are some basic objects you can select, including a pistol, but it automatically goes into the left hand. I need it in the right hand.
I know you can attach it to the bone of the right hand, however, it does not appear in the right hand. It just floats in space. I can physically move it over to the right hand, but it is not oriented properly.
When it is in the left hand it sits there perfectly, but not in the right.
This is actually important for my storyboards, because my camera placement is dictated by the hand the weapon is in.
How can I get this to work and actually look good in the right hand?

I just watched an excellent video about how to do animation pipeline-style storyboards in Procreate.
https://youtu.be/UKifEVDIHJ0?is=KDxkONQP3yHF40iA
Near the beginning, the artist makes note that this is not for “a grid of storyboards that you can put in a portfolio or for a commercial.” IDK for sure if that’s the standard for storyboard portfolios, for the sake of this post, I’m going to assume it is, but feel free to correct me if you’re more knowledgeable.
What I want to know is, if I create the storyboards in the “pipeline” way, then arrange the finished panels in a grid on another page to submit to my portfolio, would it make a different to a potential employer? Is the grid layout solely for practicality (ie, easy to say yay or nay at a moment’s glance), or do they also want to know if you can draw a board as a grid? Or am I just making assumptions?
Thanks in advance.

No lie. I think I am just an idiot or something. So I have a hard time trying to figure out the storyboarding a fight scene? Like this is a barrier. I watched too much king fu, anime, and action movies to figure out the structure of the fight scene and what they are fighting for. But storyboarding it is a hassle.
Like my favorite action movies right now is Raid Redemption and I was looking online and I do not see a single storyboard because all the people in the movie just did the choreography right there. So I am like confused man?
How do you storyboard a fight scene?? Do you use reference when coming up with the story board or do you just wing it (imagination)?
