I just came back from visiting a friend in Puerto Vallarta. I had decided to paddle a kayak up to a cruise ship which was docked and just getting within 30 feet was scary. It took 5 minutes of psyching myself up to get close enough to touch it with my paddle and then madly paddle away. I was explaining just how this was scary to my friend and how I’ve had intense thalassophobia since I was a kid. He didn't really get it.

It got me wondering if things like chains, ropes and bridge piers going down into the depths are so unsettling because they illustrate just how massive the environment is.

I started Witcher a few weeks ago and kinda shit myself when I needed to swim/dive in the ocean. First time a freakin Wale showed up I lost it.

A week later I saw that Video. Next Day I got to a Big ocean Part...

I made this drawing yesterday and I never thought about that people could find it unsettling.
The giant is trying to avoid the lights because it’s scared .
So do you feel uncomfortable looking at it ?

I think this song I wrote could serve as thalassophobia exposure therapy.

Disappointed, as I was hoping to enjoy it. First few episodes are decent enough, but the end just sort of shits the bed, pulling itself apart in six different directions not knowing what story it wants to be. Bummer.
