For years the fandom has been joking about how filthy and smelly Daryl must be, but I'm rewatching and honestly.... yeah, Daryl is dirty- he obviously doesn't mind a little dirt, as in literal soil. He will lay on the ground or dig a giant hole and rub his dirt-caked hand on his face, etc.
But at the same time... we have Rick. And he is DRIPPING sweat. There is sweat running from the curls on his head and the tip of his nose. He is sweating on everything and its mother. He's splashing sweat on the goddamn camera lens in certain scenes.
Plus, if we're talking about gear, Rick wore his cowboy boots for the same length of time that Daryl had his red wings, so that's a straight up tie as far as body odor is concerned
Basically I'm skeptical about the alleged huge hygiene gap.
(this is a humorous post, don't get over-excited)

(I have only watched to season 5 episode 8) Like the title says, i was really confused about this whole plot line. The workers all seemed to be there against their will, but then the ”boss” barely had any power and was constantly undermined by the cops. And when she died they said something like ”it was just her, its over now” like they were finally free, but the workers could have easily taken her down before?? And the whole system seemed really flawed, the amount of resources they spent on getting Noah back when he was just som kid washing their laundry? Please someone tell me if im missing something but the whole thing just felt off idk😭

Seriously, it looks like it's disintegrating, which is probably intentional.

Rewatching The Walking Dead and still can’t believe that people think Negan is redeemable after what he does 😂
He’s legit in my top 3 favourite characters, but 100% deserved to die.
He killed kids, women, and men with a smile on his face, was a rapist, and tortured people.
And I know he lives in the comics, but from what I know, what he does in the show is far more brutal. And I get it, he was so good on screen that they kept him to keep the feeling as good as it could be post season 9, but my god, the him being redeemed thing is immersion breaking.
There’s no redemption for the things he has done. Him and Maggie working together makes no sense, even though I LOVE Season 3 of Dead City. I have to pretend like he didn’t do any of the things he did just to sit through the scenes of them 2 together smiling.

I know it’s common knowledge that Chandler riggs isn’t the greatest actor and Andrew Lincoln clearly is incredible and the rest of the cast is close behind. But this episode had the largest & clearest gap in talent I’ve ever witnessed in any show/movie just bc of Chandler.
Andrew is just so completely and utterly immersed in the role and his performance is unbelievable. He’s sobbing and begging (still in his accent btw) and it’s actually hard to watch the true misery he is showing. And then Carl comes on screen and he is just squinting. And then it cuts to Maggie sobbing and gagging. And Rosita disassociating. And even Eugene is giving a good show of sadness. Then it goes back to Carl frowning.
It’s an incredible episode regardless but I feel like Carl shedding a few tears would have helped a bit. It makes no sense for him to see Glenn get his head smashed in and his Dad basically wetting himself and Carl stays unfazed. Even if he was purposely written to not cry, even some portrayal of anger would suffice. All we got was squinting and idk it really took me out of it.

Can someone just shoot this fucking dude Shane already????
He's already violent, a rapist, a traitor, like he genuinely has all the worse possible traits. Now he does this shit???? Not only is it super disrespectful and probably retraumatizing for Herschel, but he basically just guaranteed the group getting kicked out.
I know it's a super reddit thing for me to be like "oh I would've done this in that situation" but no I would've genuinely popped him out of fear for the group when he started breaking the lock.
I just knew he was gonna be moving like this, even from just the first convo with him in that car. The way he was talking about his woman....yuck.
Hearing him speak like that rven before the apocalypse "I know what kind of man..." he was even before the old guy had to spell it out.
This bald fucking chud really is an even bigger threat to the group than Merle

Garbage people had that extra passion when it came to fighting their allies. Michonne got her ass beaten pretty badly. She probably had concussion and was at risk of bleeding out.
It was difficult to speak. She knew she had to use her words wisely, because they might've been her last. She could've said something silly like, "I love you, Rick", "I love you, Coral", or "Tell Morgan it was me".
Nope.
She chose to say the most bizarre, out-of-place sentence: "We're the ones who live". One could say it's tone-deaf considering a bunch of Alexandrians were just killed. Weird survivor's gloat.
Could someone explain Michonne's reasoning here without using the words "Scott" and "Gimple"?

I'm making my own VHS/CRT-themed yule log for Halloween that includes famous horror trailers and i had to include the original trailer for season 1 of the show (with some additions). Its so iconic.

I’m finally just watching this show. I don’t read anything on this page because of potential spoilers. I’m in season 3 just finished up ep 4. Carl. This boy. Damn. I feel so bad for him. I hope he makes it. No one deserves the trauma this boy has already had to endure.

When carl gets shot and Otis tells a panicked Rick and Shane "to go find Hershel, he'll help" I cant help but find it kinda funny besides how messed up the situation is bc the way Otis says it sounds like an NPC giving you a quest in a video game 😭💀

I have a theory, given their accents and macho / violent attitudes that they were "connected" prior to the outbreak. Maybe I watch too much Sopranos but man they have the feel, idk lol

I'm rewatching the show / introducing it to my sister.
The camera is pannig out to randoms the people at Terminus are going to kill
I see RIck looking at the guy all the way at the end. I'm like "Rick why are you staring so hard"
Then I see this shot. And I'm like...wait a sec. THATS THE DUDE RICK GAVE HIS WATCH TOO! I THOUGHT HE DIED OFF SCREEN AFTER HIS GF WAS SHOWN DEAD!
WOW!!
Anyways yeah, still surprised by the show after all of these years.

The manipulative bully and dominant personality who often makes a good point and is vindicate
The protagonist who becomes a passive enabler of said person at best, or becomes their mirror image at worst.
The dangling carrot of championing a more humanistic, intellectual philosophy.
The hero seems like they’ll be more noble and straightforwardly heroic.
A timeskip between seasons and the protagonist seems to have taken a turn for the worse.
A constant debate between emotional connection and compassion being weaknesses or not
It’s hinted emotional connection and compassion are strengths, yet the protagonist spends most of their time behaving otherwise
The protagonist is bailed out of having to make a hard choice to preserve sympathy, but wanted it to happen and would’ve gone through with it otherwise.
The main characters aren’t as cartoonishly depraved as the villain, nor quite as dangerous, yet aren’t “the good guys” exactly.
The heroes have a sort of last minute change of heart towards the end and avoid full blown villain territory, though they did come dangerously close beforehand.
The protagonist partners up with the villain and actually begins to agree with a lot of what they say, or at least half of it.
Think the Walking Dead itself, the Boys, Supernatural, the Last of Us, and potentially the Fallout tv series, etc.
