The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter. 

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

Hey does anyone know where to find free overnight parking around AWD? I’ve got some people coming for Halloween and just don’t know the parking situation outside of parking structure 2 and that doesn’t let people without a pass park overnight as far as I know. I appreciate the help!

Hi! I’m a sophomore at Wayne State double majoring in English and PR. I’m interested in taking a few marketing electives because I want to work in PR, content writing, or communications. The classes I want to take are:
● MKT 2300 — Marketing Management
● MKT 5490 — Principles of Advertising
● MKT 5800 — Digital Marketing and Analytics
MKT 2300 has an ECO 2010 prerequisite. Has anyone outside the business school been able to get that prerequisite waived? Who did you contact, and were there any restrictions on taking marketing classes as a non-business major?

I'm planning transferring to Wayne in the winter semester or the fall semester, and I have questions!
I'm coming from a rural suitcase school, and the main reason I'm transferring is social life. where the campus is always cleared out because people go home, but as an out of state student, I had nowhere to go. I'm planning on renting near campus, and I wondered am I going to feel the same at Wayne?

Also opinions on which semester to start is best? Winter or fall, 2027?

I'm also going to be studying poli sci and try to work towards a double major in urban studies and planning, and wanted input from current students on those programs.

Figured I’d throw this out into the void and see what happens with everything going on and losing a relationship I had for the last 9 months. Between classes, labs, and the daily commuter grind, it’s surprisingly tough to meet people organically outside of lectures, away from campus.
