I had an original OG in 2018 which is sold. At the time I thought it might be a little small. I needed to trim the thigh braces and put a smaller seat pad in. I jumped in one at the closest shop and everything felt better in terms of seat and thigh braces. Did anyone notice any difference between earlier models and what are the thoughts about 6’ 200 and seat position. Just demoed a Manu and it wasn’t for me so thinking about an OG after a couple years away from it.

I am looking for opinions on light layers under dry wear that doesn’t hold onto sweat stink. I am a heavy sweater and in my dry gear (especially dry suit) I tend to get sweaty in when paddling harder whitewater but like being in my dry suit in case something goes off the rails.
I currently just use some cheap synthetic layers off of Amazon, and they end up smelling pretty badly during a paddling trip. So curious what others are using for very light layers under dry gear that may not smell? Especially sweaters. Cheers!

Can someone point me in the direction of the most-used Facebook groups for whitewater in WI and MN? My search for groups in WI was complicated by the fact that Whitewater, WI (the town) is also a thing...

I've found a Riot Astro 58 for 300eu, would that be a good boat to do some freestyle moves on flatwater?
So I'm from the Netherlands and I was considering getting a freestyle boat to try out some freestyle moves on flatwater.
The reason why is because it'll fit right into my car which makes bringing it with me less if a hassle(no roof carrier needed). It'll also make getting onto whitewater a bit more exciting so I can practice my bracing and rolling as well.
My whitewater paddling tends to be limited to a once a year trip so I'm just looking for a good way to get a bit more practice in. I don't plan to bring this boar with me to a river.
For some extra context I already have a creeking boat that I use on trips to rivers and I'm 6'2"
What are your thoughts?

Photo for vibes only
I’ll be hitting the grand this winter for my first trip, late Feb launch.
Ive been running a 2021 IR 7Figure (not pictured above) for a buncha seasons now and I’m worried it won’t hold up for the whole trip. especially the latex booties with a month of sand and abrasion.
what is everyone‘s take on the current worth it dry suits? I haven’t shopped around for a while. Is Devil’s Club still the way to go?
Cheers!

The boat I’m looking at has a medium that goes up to 190 and the large low end starts at 180. I’m 185-190, 6’3”. Tall but relatively thin. Obviously the best boat is what you fit in but in my area there aren’t many options to demo or sit in. Would you suggest looking initially for the large or medium?

How did yall get into whitewater kayaking? I have rafted some thru my youth and I think I wanna take the next step and get a single person boat. Not sure which kind yet. What is the best way to get started out/learn the skills. I’m around the chattanooga/ocoee area. Eager to learn.

Hi all! Just bought a used older model Exo XT260, the one that had adjustable thigh pads and seat adjustments.
I have I cleaned it with running water and no soap and while outfitting it I noticed that the seat is stuck and I am not able to move it with my hands The screws gets off easily but the seat doesn't move at all, i'll attach another pic in the comments
I was wondering:
can I clean the kayak with generic soap?
what products can I use to help me move the seat? WD40? Any lube? I want to get it in a more neutral position
Thank you in advance!

Hi all! I'm going to spend December kayaking in Chile, a few weeks in Pucón and then some time on the Futa. If you've been there, would you recommend a drysuit? Or should a drytop and neoprene pants be enough? I have a solid role and don't expect much swimming but of course you never know. Thanks!

I've heard there's a battered green Burn on display in front of one of the kayak shops on the Soca, does anyone have a picture of it?
That was the boat I was paddling in 2025 when I had a stupid swim in the slalom course get off, I kinda want to see the condition it's in (I also have a video of where they had to rescue it from if you want)
