I just picked up a non running 98 blaster 200 on Facebook for $320. When you kick it the motor won’t try to start unless you give it throttle. It will not start, the guy I got it from said his friend put a carb on it and got it to run this year but it ran rough. Any suggestions or first steps?

For some context I previously made a post about a $320 1998 blaster 200 I picked up last night. The guy I got it from claimed his friend put a new carb on and it ran earlier this year but rough. I cleaned the carb and it still will only start for about 2 seconds with carb cleaner sprayed into the intake. Also it had low trans fluid when I got it so I added some. Seems to have gone down about halfway down the sight glass already and isn’t leaking? I looked it up and everything says crank seals so I was gonna do those but what else should I do?

battery is full charge all my connections are tight and clean fuses are good too

1986 Moto4 YFM225. Purchased recently. Auto clutch, have tried to adjust the clutch screw at the case, no matter the setting, the bike moves forward when engaging first gear. Idle is low.

Changed oil, found metal on the filter & broken spring pieces in the oil drain cavity in front of the cone shaped screen. Engine runs good, shifts good, just the issue with engagement from neutral to first.

Thoughts?

I just bought a raptor 700 showing code 43 for low voltage fuel system. When I turn the key the fuel pump doesn’t prime at all but if I send ground to one of the pins on the fuel pump relay the fuel pump turns on and stays on. I ohmed out the injector to rule out an internal short as well as replaced the relay. I’m not sure on where to go from here. After charging the battery for a bit the code has seem to gone away but still not hearing the fuel pump. Anything is appreciated will be working on it tomorrow hopefully with a fresh battery

I bought a 2007 honda trx 400ex about a month ago, my first atv ever. The bike was choppy while idling so I decided to clean out the carb. I noticed this copper wiring sticking out of what I believe is called the screw set? Is this something I need to fix or replace? And if so, how would I go about doing so

Following up on my last post, I slapped a new belt on and it’s still slipping. So it’s either the primary or secondary clutch that’s the issue. Does anybody know which clutch before I order one? From my research, I’m pretty sure it’s the primary but I would just like to be sure.

Also, any recommendations on what clutch to order? Used Polaris OEM clutch or an aftermarket one with good reviews?

In Texas, where I live, there are almost no good, honest Honda powersports dealers. I am hoping that there is at least one.

The freight fee is bad enough, and then they want to add a list of other fees. The prep fee from a dealer quote I got was over $600. When we add the current Honda freight fee, plus other fees for nothing, it is hard to swallow.

Did anyone here buy their ATV from a Texas dealer? Were you able to find an honest one that didn't rip you off on excessive fees?

Works great, but I will be buying a bigger trolling motor soon. She runs around 3-5 mph without tires turning, and with both the trolling motor and tires turning it runs around 6-8 mph.😎

Found a 2021 scrambler 850 on marketplace. He's asking $6200. It has 150 hours and 1500 miles.

What's this breather hose at the left rear? Looks like the belt vent? Is that where it belongs? I don't know much about these units.

It's new to me but a Yamaha big bear 400 4x4 got it for free due to being hydro locked and sat for a bit I will rebuild it and continue its adventure really excited any one else have one similar? Looking for build ideas once it's up and running can't wait for the trail rides and venturing

I can't really find many that allow this so hoping that some members could help..

Bought my first ATV back in August. 2025 Kawasaki Bruteforce 750. I love it. But what things can I look to do to make my riding experience better. Already have a winch, but I’m looking at going with bigger tires for better clearance. Also just want to throw it out there that I am a bigger guy (270lbs) and wondering if I should look into a lift kit or adjust my ride suspension. I’ve ridden but first time owning and looking for all advice!

I'm converting my 2020 CFORCE 400S to street legal, and I'm having a hard time finding the left handlebar switch with turn signals here in the US. The only one I've found is on CFMOTO Canada, but they don't ship to the US.

Does anyone have any tips? And do you know if the ATV already has the flasher relay?

About a month ago I gave up on ever seeing my stolen sportsman again and I bought a 2006 can am outlander 400 ho max xt . I really wanted another 05 sportsman but all the ones I looked at were in rough shape for the price . This thing has an oil leak on front left of motor and I can't figure out where. Its not leaking down from the valve cover because from the top of exhaust upwards is dry .and what makes it harder to find is when im riding the air flowing through that area is spraying the oil all over. Is there any chance I'll would be coming from that black plastic thing circled in yellow.

2008 KFX450r intermittent cutting out/dead spot

I’m having an intermittent problem with my 2008 KFX450R and I’m hoping someone might recognize the symptoms.

A lot of the time it happens right after I shift into the next gear and start getting back on the throttle. It goes dead for a brief moment, almost like the fuel is being cut, and then picks back up. The engine doesn’t shut off completely. I’ve also felt it while slowly rolling on the throttle.
It seems to happen around the same throttle position, roughly ⅛–¼ throttle. Keep in mind I only have been riding it at max 20 min. I’m not sure if it’s always at the same RPM, but I mainly notice it in the higher gears, not the lower ones.

The problem varies from ride to ride. One day it was really bad and happened repeatedly. Other days it might only happen once, and sometimes the quad feels great.

It didn’t do this when I first got it. The issue started sometime after I installed the FCI intake and put the dynatek coil on, but it wasn’t immediately noticeable after the installation.
The quad has an FCI intake, HMF exhaust, HMF/Dobeck Optimizer

Here’s what I’ve done or checked:
● Replaced the injector with a new OEM injector
● Replaced the spark plug
● Checked valve clearances and the TPS setting
● Tried a Dynatek coil and later went back to the stock coil
● Cleaned the fuel pump area and replaced the fuel filter and pump strainer
● Checked fuel pressure: around 44 psi running in neutral. It drops to around 38–39 psi after the pump stops and holds around 30 psi after 15 minutes.
● Tried running it with the piggyback disconnected, however, that is not smart with my intake setup.

Has anyone experienced something similar on a KFX450R or another fuel-injected Kawasaki? I’d appreciate hearing what symptoms you had and what you found.

miss my old 5:30 Club (ride 5 mins, drink for 30) machine, thing was an absolute tank. I will say the all time 4wd with those tires made it a bitch sometimes

I recently bought a KFX 700, while riding it I didn't notice that the Drive cable was too close to the exhaust until it started smoking a bit and now it the gear selector is stuck in Neutral. Yes, I have pressed the break and tried switching to drive or reverse but it's completely stuck and does not budge at all. Could it be the cable itself or is there anything else that I should look for? Any recommendations? Thank y'all
