Youth entrepreneurship fair.
Hey Blenheim!
The Youth Entrepreneurship Fair is happening August 16 from 9AM–2PM at Talbot Trail Place (24 John St.). It’s hosted by the Blenheim Rotary Club and Talbot Trail Place Park Committee, with support from Ridge Landfill Community Trust Fund.
It’s all about supporting kids and youth (ages 6–17) who’ve got their businesses going—art, crafts, baking, services, you name it.
I’ll be there too with my booth! Look for the blue tent with stickers! Come say hi and check out what I’ve got!
Hope to see some of you there!

Also, if you share my interests, please come chat. I need to talk to people.

Village vibe
Just shifted in from up north a year or so ago. Is there any place in or around Blenheim that has a folky, village-style atmosphere going on? Somewhere funky like Motueka, Takaka or some of the fun streets of Nelson?

If a family member was moving to Blenheim, which suburbs would you steer them towards or away from?
Hi, I hope your weekend is off to a good start. We’re hoping to move to Blenheim in the new year. We’ve visited a couple of times, and loved the environment and the people we’ve met, so we think it’s the right spot for us for the foreseeable future. The budget for a 2-3 bed house will be around 550k. Re: Suburb - We don’t need to worry about proximity to schools, but would love to be within walking distance or close to off-lead exercise areas for dogs. Are there places we should avoid because they are prone to flooding or because there’s a new road about to built etc? We’re currently living on the North Island, so don’t have any local knowledge of the pros and cons of the area. We’d appreciate and thoughts or recommendations. Best wishes.

Pumpkin puree search
Has anyone seen cans of pumpkin puree in any shops? I’m making a curry and I’d prefer to have the canned version. I’ve already been to PaknSave and Countdown with no luck 💔
