Hey everyone! I just got approved for VR&E (Veteran Readiness and Employment) and was wondering if anyone here at FIU is currently using it. I have a couple of questions about the program and would love to hear from someone who's already gone through the process.

I already managed to get through half of the activity progress in the pathway here and I was wondering if anyone knows anything I can easily knock out before the end of the fall semester so I won't have to start scrambling in the spring. Honors College Week I am wary of, but I am not exactly sure when they will have it in the Spring semester. Furthermore, if anyone knows of any wonderful volunteer opportunities around the Kendall area (I live close by The Falls and Arcade Odyssey) that I can involve myself in, that would be additionally appreciated.

I was adding a class to my shopping cart and for the first time, the system asked me for a permission number but I left it blank and I was still allowed to add it to my shopping cart. Is the number still required? Will they ask it during enrollment day? If so, how does one get a permission number?

For starters, next semester I'm already planning to take another class that involves a lot of writing. I am doing pre-law now and i need to get the writing credits out of the way, I am asking for future semesters so i can map out what Id like to do. I do plan on taking it either way, but again I want to pair it with classes that arent too crazy workwise if this class is "hard."
Basically, what am I to expect for this class? Any certain professors to avoid? And so on.

Hi,
I you by chance lost a pair of air pods Thursday night on the 2nd floor of BBC Academic 2, I found them. I kept them overnight, and then turned them into lost and found at the WUC help desk on Friday. They had a charge left and the case was chirping at me so I think you were trying to locate them.
Sorry for the delay in posting, busy weekend.

I'm curious how different universities have their own culture and identity.
If you could pick just ONE word that instantly makes students and alumni think of FIU, what would it be?

Hey guys, I just got some few questions regarding Dropping/withdrawing from a class. Iโve never dropped a class yet so I donโt know what some of the procedures are. I want to drop my Chm1045 (chemistry 1) Class due to some scheduling conflicts and I havenโt been able to attend that class for a while, which hurt my grade significantly. I donโt want my GPA to tank, hence why I want to drop/withdraw. If I drop my Chm1045, will I also be automatically dropped from Chm1045L (chem 1 lab)? Also this semester Iโm taking 13 credits, making me a full time student, if I drop chem class, I will drop down to 10 or 9 credits (depends if lab also gets dropped), which will make me a part time student. Could this possibly affect me financially? Iโve received full fafsa grant for full time students and then I got a refund after tuition was paid. Since now I might be possibly going down to part time, do I have to owe them any money?

It seems the previous posts have been archived. Can I propose any alumni that are part of the alumni association that we get to retain our alumni email? Or at the very least allow us to pay for the ability to keep the email address alive. Would love your thoughts.

recently Iโve been interested in starting a club for next semester. Itโd be a Russian language and culture club, where weโd organize activities involving Russian language, history, music, literature, films etc. You wouldnโt need to speak Russian, however itโd be a good place to practice and learn.
Iโm also looking for students whoโd be interested in helping establish the club and potentially join. Dm me if youโre interested.

Anyone having issues with this course? And the way it is being taught? I have spoken to over 20 students in same class and they have all expressed the same sentiment, we are being rushed through the course and nothing is being understood. Wondering if itโs the course or professor.

The rest of the clan and I have been trying to get our organization unfrozen for the last 2-3 months, and nothing has moved. I would like to escalate the process. Who should I reach out to specifically?

Considering going back to school for engineering and see that FIU has an online electrical program was wondering what other students that have been through that have thought
Just following up from last weekโs job fair. Some employers recommend a security clearance and said the university might help sponsor that. If so where do I proceed to follow up. Or whom do I ask?

Hi! Does anyone know if thereโs a shared Google Drive or student resource archive for the Architecture program at FIU?
Iโm looking for something with materials from different courses, like old exams, assignments, class notes, study guides, professor info/recommendations, and other resources shared by students.
It could also be a Discord, WhatsApp group, or any other platform where Architecture students share this kind of material.
If anyone knows of something like this, Iโd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I js thought of this, letโs say you consistently ate a full time student every semester for ur undergrad years as in u take 15 credits or more each semester and then u might have like only three or two credits left to do for ur last semester, would u still receive financial aid Iโve heard some people get it cancelled completely
Also if u transferred 45 credits from ur highschool and ur major behavioral neuroscience requires more than 120 credits would financial aid cover or count those 45 towards the 120 limit.
Also for anyone whoโs graduated from a bachelors in behavioral. Neuroscience was it worth it. I think they added natural and applied sciences for me to be on the pre med track
Any info would be helpful ty in advance
