Developing a new GMU ontology that if your group tries to talk to people in front of JC you're probably cool and if you try to talk to people outside of Fenwick/Horizon you're probably a freak. IDK why this has been so true in my experience.

A professor was making me feel stupid and basically laughing at me for asking a dumb question bc God forbid a person doesn't understand the content. Reported him to the head of the department and the week after I got an apology from him.

Basically above. I’m a sophomore kinesiology major who just needs to do chem 1 + 2 plus labs. But dammit Professor Kamara is so inconsistent and strict! The analysis’s the dude creates will mark you wrong even when you get it right. Blud literally kicked me out when one if my lab papers fell out. And just now Kamara basically said screw you when I emailed him a photo I forgot to put in my conclusion. I have a C+ in the lab and will most likely pass, but dammit dude you’re being a thorn in my side more than anything. I’m legit having gray hairs now due to the stress of this whole semester!!!

Edit: well this blew up. Anyways I submitted my conclusion yesterday at noon, emailed him at 2, got the response at 6. The conclusion was due today at 11:30

im not going to lie, when i came to mason i wanted to believe that the dorms were going to be fine, i mean im not expecting pure excellence for a college campus dorm, but definitely wasnt expecting mold in the AC unit, in the bathroom, in the corners of the room. i have eczema, and my ezcema has never flared up as bad as it did when im here. my desks were full of mold, and i called maintenance and they acted so annoyed about it, then proceeded to only scrub it with soap and water and left mold for me and my mother to clean up. the mold is still bad its even on the roof, theres a rat downstairs, my dorm has leaked because of a bad storm. how does this school expect to have more people who want to live on campus when the dorms are utterly terrible. i totally see why theres so many commuters and how they cant wait to get up off this campus. this is terrible.

So I want to take HIST 125 online and there are a lot of professors to choose from: Prof. Schulze, Prof. Staklo, Prof. Hook, Prof. Werner, Prof. Duncan, Prof. Richter, Prof. Gerleman, and Prof. Yilmaz. Do any of yall have a recommendation as to which professor I should choose?

Hello, Im looking to take cs477 but I dont see any reviews on cs477 with professor Russell. If anyone is taking her class this semester i would really like to know what the exams and their weights are like.

I'll be taking it next semester and I just want psych majors opinions on the class. I'm planning on in-person, but I am open to hearing about async experiences as well. I won't be doing 373 which is the lab, but I have heard from those that I've asked already is that it's content heavy compared to BIOL 103 and such.

Any tips on how to do good in this class. I have Joshua Mattes , I try to use the textbook examples , but I still seem to struggle with the questions when I try to do them on my own. I struggled with the same thing on chemistry but at least I had stuff like the organic chemistry tutor and class slides that covered everything with the Alex textbook that made the class more manageable. For physics , it doesn't matter how many videos I watch or what I do It feels like I either get it or don't get it , no in between.

Does anyone know how the general process of the honors college works? I applied as a current Mason student before their October 14th deadline and I was wondering if their admissions were rolling meaning there’s not a specific time where they will release decisions only when they have slots?

I know it is pretty early and it would likely take a couple of weeks but I was just wondering as registration opens up soon and I wanted to know if they will post a decision before the semester ends or if it would have to be after the grades for this semester are posted
