North America How is living in Madison, Wisconsin?
Curious what it’s like to live there as a non-student.

Are these artificial islands? How expensive are those houses?

Austria is one of the richest countries in Europe and Hungary one of the poorest, so this has got to be one of the most extreme wealth divides inside any free-movement bloc. Do people commute across for work? Shop on the other side for bargains? Do Hungarians and Austrians in this region generally get on well? Are people generally bilingual in German and Hungarian? And any other insights you can share. Danke / Köszönöm !

What is it like living in the northwest corner of Colorado? I’ve driven through Craig and camped near Yampa, but what is life like in this quiet corner?

How is life in Vienna nowadays? Is it still as nice as I remember?

Is it boring or mundane, what do you do for fun? Seems far away from everything. And how are the winters?

I’m interested in answers especially if you’re a post-secondary student/foreign student. I travelled to the Netherlands in 2025, and I absolutely fell in love with Amsterdam. However, I know travelling somewhere is vastly different from living there on a full time basis so I want to hear about daily life here.
Comment on pros and cons about living here, things you like and don’t like, overall experiences, etc! (Feel free to also share any photos if you’re comfortable)

I have been looking for somewhere to move because my hobbies don't really match with where I currently live. I enjoy hunting ducks, geese, and small game. I like muskie and walleye fishing, I like to camp, hike, kayak, and target shoot. I am graduating with a degree in Industrial engineering and asked AI where a good place would be that combines everything I like and it suggested Wausau, Rothschild, or Green Bay.
How is living in this area? Is it a good place to raise a family (are my chances of meeting someone good, are the schools good, is it crime and drug ridden, etc.)? How liberal/conservative is it? How is the job market? Are there opportunities to hunt waterfowl and small game? Are there ranges nearby to shoot at? Is there good muskie fishing there? Are there good places to nearby to camp and hike?

How are the people, atmosphere, shops, environment etc and how is the University there? Is it worth going to?

I sort of miss it, 6 floor buildings, food and shops right outside. I'm not a people person but I feel like I do miss the amount of people just doing things. I like to watch people in downtown toronto but it just feels different.

I was suprised to hear that 50 million+ people in Africa live nomadic pastoralist lifestyles. Some communities like Fulani and Tuareg have a lot of nomads. How is living as a traditional nomad like?

I’m a single woman in my early 30s looking to move to Chicago, IL when my lease ends next winter. Been researching lots of neighborhoods and the walkability of Edgewater really appeals to me. I’d be commuting to the South Loop for work. What does public transport look like? Is there much of a night life there? Are there any clubs/groups to join as a way to make friends?

📍 Place: France, near the Boarder with Belgium.
🎯 Why I'm asking: My dads side of the family immigrated to Canada from somewhere in France near the boarder with Belgium during WW2 (my great grandmother), curious about family roots.
👤 About me: Nova Scotia, Canada. 32 year old female.
🔍 What I specifically want to know: Anything? What’s life like living here?

This is a long shot, but I am very curious what life is like in Williamsville, Buffalo. Is there a lot to do? To see? Is it worth visiting?

This area includes the neighbors of Brooklyn Park in Anne Arundel County and Curtis Bay, Brooklyn and Cherry Hill in Baltimore
Cherry Hill gives me a different vibe than Curtis and Brooklyn so I was debating whether to include it
