Discussion TRT - Pampanga

Post image
8 Upvotes

Ewan ko if merong namemessage ng mga recruiter ng TRT dito, but sharing my experience lol

Nagmessage isang recruiter mga July or August this year and was offering me the same job as what was attached. I entertained since I am from Bulacan and mas mabilis kako travel to Pampanga.

Una pa lang, red flag na. They keep on changing the offered role - from a managerial position down to the entry-level position (I am currently working as a supervisor). I asked bakit nagbago ulit yung offered job - “it was the CEOs decision to move you to that job as he sees that you’re fit for it”. So okay, I still pushed through. Then yung exams and other shenanigans nila came with more huh moments. Their exam wants to take screenshots of my screen from time to time and some other permission that made me feel uneasy haha! Yep, may mga testing center that would require the same but this is suspicious lol

I then decided to search for reviews for the company- lo and behold haha they have bad reviews. I came across one post saying to search for TRT CEO from hell and that made everything clear. Kaya pala their intro and their job description contains super long paragraphs stating how good the company is, bla bla bla. I decided not to push through anymore. And now, here they are again, offering me the other job they sent me over last time, with the same intro and shiz. Para bang wala silang database ng mga “applicants” nila or mga narecruit nila via job platform sites like LinkedIn.

Posting this just in case lol the amount of money they post as the compensation is not worth it for your mental health. You can also search for TRT sa sub ng Pampanga.

If you are a recruiter from TRT, hello 😆

Career / Job Related IT Career

Hello everyone! I graduated with a BSIT degree. However, I have more experience in the BPO industry, although it is not IT related, since most tech companies prefer candidates with experience.

My question is: I really want to pursue my dream of becoming a Network Administrator, but where should I start again? How can I upskill myself? Also, what certifications would you recommend that I need to earn and learn?

I really need help with this. I understand that I’ll have to start from the bottom, even if it means i will earn a lower salary, and I’m completely okay with that. I’m willing to learn and work my way up to achieve my dream career.

Thank you!

Career / Job Related Should I continue pursuing my Cybersecurity / Soc career?

Hello tech world, I just wanna know if I should still continue pursuing this career transition or if it's too late.

For context, graduate ako nung 2020 pa from a non-IT field( Mgmt Accounting) and since nag pandeming naging VA ako pero I felt stagnant kaya nag decide ako mag pivot into a career particularly Cybersecurity nung 2025.

From no background, tinapos ko yung Google Cybersecurity cert for foundation tapos kinuha ko yung Sec+ this Feb 2026 which I fortunately passed. Did a Wazuh homelab tapos ngayon I'm going thru TryHackMe labs SAL1 planning on getting the certification after and also eyeing on SC-200.

Pero I've been trying to apply for job roles while I keep on learning pero wala ni isang pumapansin so I kinda am on the fence of giving up. Honestly papatusin ko sana kung may mga mababang salary na tatanggap just to gain valuable experience. Is the job market really that bad? or am I still super underqualified. I do love the field but may dependent na ako and paubos na savings ko since I left kaya I'm worried.

And if I keep on pursuing, any advice? TIA! <3

Tips & Tricks Help

Hello I am a 1st year BSIT student I would like to ask if there are any tech organizations or groups that I can join😔 I’m really interested in learning more about technology and meeting people in my field. Although I’m not very knowledgeable about coding but I’m already doing some advance studies on this. Currently my school does not have a professor in subjects in coding so I have been feeling left behind seeing some of my friends from other universities already knowing how to code and being invited in seminars or events. I hope you wont hate this post🙏 I just genuinely want recommendations or tips on this, Thank you!!

Career / Job Related FIS Salary Package

Hello I wanted advice po, I recently applied to FIS for Product Technical Support Analyst I. The recruiter told me that the 30-35k package is not negotiable even with 5 years of ITSD experience. I was curious lang kasi I know some people with the same role pero nasa 40-45k ang salary package. Is this something that can be haggled or negotiated? Thank you.

Career / Job Related CAFE HELPDESK

Hi all,

I have an opportunity to jump into an IT helpdesk position for a large cafe/restaurant company.

Before I dive in, I'd love to hear from anyone who has worked in hospitality tech. What are the unique advantages of this environment compared to traditional corporate MSPs or internal office IT?

Specifically wondering about:

-What are the most valuable IT skills I can develop in this environment that will actually help me move up in the IT field later on?

-How is the career growth from this sector?

-Are there any unexpected perks or cultural pros?

Appreciate any insights or stories you can share!

Discussion Hello! I’m building a tool for software architecture planning, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello po! I'm working on a project called AgentFlo, and I'm curious whether something like this would actually be useful for people studying or working in IT.

The basic idea is to give you a visual workspace where you can plan an application by dragging components onto a canvas. You can also put components inside other components, allowing you to break down a large application into smaller parts and show how everything fits together.

One of the main ideas is to let you explore your application through **four layers**, from the big picture down to the actual code. Instead of cramming everything into one complicated diagram, you can focus on different levels of detail as you explore the system.

I'm also exploring how AI could help with the planning process and eventually assist with development.

I can see this potentially being useful for:

IT and CS students - who want to understand how applications are structured and how their components work together.

Developers - who want to visualize and plan an application's architecture before jumping into implementation.

Instructors and professors - who want a more visual way to explain software architecture and system design.

But these are just my assumptions. I'm still developing the project, and I want to find out whether the concept actually solves a problem worth solving.

For those of you studying IT or CS, recent graduates, and people already working in software development:

- Would a tool like this help you learn, teach, or plan software projects?

- Do the four layers sound useful, or would you prefer a different approach?

- Are there existing tools that already do this well enough?

- What features would make something like this genuinely useful to you?

I'm open to honest criticism and suggestions. I'd rather learn what people actually need than build something nobody ends up using.

Thanks!

Career / Job Related When Getting a Job Offer Doesn't Feel Like a Victory

I honestly didn't expect to get a Job Offer from that BPO company. They put me through a lot of hassle, but at the end of the day, it really paid off. However, I got really anxious about my career. I realized that I have set up plans for myself that I am not yet ready to go through with. It is stressful to have gone this far, only to find myself in a situation where I don't even know what to do next.

I have received a lot of job interviews lately and had some excellent opportunities from local IT companies, but to no avail. It's frustrating to keep getting rejected from the very field I really want to pursue. The more I fail to get into IT, the more I realize how much I actually want it. It's like every rejection makes me want it even more, yet at the same time, it makes me question whether I'm really capable of getting there. I have already secured a Job Offer for a customer service job, and honestly, I feel relieved that I finally have something to fall back on. But there is still a part of me that keeps looking at those decent IT job openings and wondering, what if I try again? What if I turn down this opportunity and regret it later? Or what if I accept this job, get comfortable with it, and eventually lose the motivation to pursue the career I really want?

This, again, is a situation where I feel stuck and at odds with my own conscience. I know that I need a job, and I can't just keep waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along. At the same time, I don't want to feel like I'm giving up on something I genuinely want just because things aren't working out for me right now. I feel a deep pressure within me because I know that I really need to think this through and decide carefully. I don't want to make a decision that I'll eventually regret, especially when I know that the choices I make now could have an impact on my future. It's a matter of figuring out which path would yield better results, which one would give me a higher return on investment, and whether I'm making this decision because it's the right move for me or simply because I'm afraid of being left with nothing.
