This was my first Pieces & Peace puzzle. I purchased it new. I love the artwork and that they credit real human artists. I liked the feel of the pieces. The actual puzzling experience wasn’t my favorite.

There was a lot of puzzle dust, false fits, and loose fits. I also had to break apart a lot of pieces when unboxing. Worst of course is the missing piece and right in one of my favorite features - the cute bird! (I did conduct a thorough search of my puzzle room. I am 90% sure the piece just didn’t make it into the box).

I don't normally get that excited about 500 piece puzzles, since I can do them in a single day. But this one turned out to be super cute. I may keep this one in the permanent collection.

The finished masterpiece + some of my chaotic sorting methods- aka sort out the edges and then paw through the remaining pieces like a starving raccoon. Which is your fav ship? I’m partial to fish bro, but the 2 smaller ones (dragon sails and purple dragon wings) were cool. The middle ship was MAJESTIC

This was my first time for this brand. I really liked the sturdiness of the pieces. It seems they’re somewhere between cardboard and wood. Good fit with a satisfying feeling that it’s in the right place. I like that they provide artist info on the back of the box. My only negative is that the box is quite flimsy.

I feel like I have been at this for weeks but it’s only been three nights. I don’t know how much I’ve sorted but it feels never ending! Still so many in the box too. I thought I knew what to expect but wow this is a lot of pieces.
Sorting question, how would you sort it?
I’m doing the red and black card symbols, the outlines of the cards, and the one backside of a card. I don’t start with the edges. My friends think I’m a psychopath!

I love trying out new-to-me puzzle brands. And I know a lot of people really enjoy Galison, but knowing that the puzzle pieces are all two in two out was very off-putting. And I couldn't understand how they could possibly be as popular as they seem to be.

Well I finally tried one out and yes, now I do get it. There are several things operating here. The puzzle pieces have a very nice feel, they fit together really nicely, their images are often very interesting, but here's the part I didn't get until now.

I had heard that all their pieces fall into two categories and are easy to separate to that extent. But here's the thing that I didn't understand until I worked with one. Half the pieces have narrow outies, and half the pieces have fat outies. That isn't something I've run into in any other brand, and furthermore the outie shapes are distinctive, particularly the longer narrower ones. That distinctiveness is very important in looking for where they might fit.

So yes the pieces are all two and two out, but there's far more distinctiveness to the shapes than I had expected. In addition the really good way that they fit together is extremely pleasing.

So my first experiment with Galison has been absolutely a success and I will be looking forward to doing more of their jigsaws.

And as far as this specific puzzle, I've been wanting to do a Michael Storrings, and I'm on a Halloween phase at the moment. This one ticked all the boxes.

Quick and fun. I got this one from Goodwill and it’s sadly missing a piece.

Did anyone else excitedly buy this four pack, only to discover the quality is pretty bad? I am a collector of the food truck puzzles and was excited to do these 4. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box, started working the first puzzle, and realized the size of the pieces is way smaller and the quality overall is significantly worse. I’ve heard complaints about Ceaco and have had my own, but this is more like Dollar Tree quality. I was pretty bummed. Anyway, since I collect the series, I am still completing and gluing them. Just thought I would share, and see if others experienced the same disappointment or if I am just hyper focused on these because I collect them 😂

I believe this is one of the older Hobbry releases when they were collaborating with Indigo.
