Things to Do Storybook Gardens - rides removed
Just a heads up about Storybook Gardens. They removed all of the rides from inside the park.
We just purchased $40 worth of ride tickets from the Storybook Gardens entrance. Upon entry we found they removed all of the rides from inside the park leaving the tickets only valid for the carousel and train out front. When we asked for a refund or a store credit they refused. So if you mistakenly buy them assuming the rides from last year are still there you are out of luck.

Things to Do Adult Admission to London Children's Museum
Today I took myself, my daughter in law and 3 grandchildren ages 3 & 6 to the London Children's Museum. It cost me $88.00! What? Why did I have to pay full price for the 2 adults? It's not like we could drop the kids off and someone else looked after them. What did I pay for that I got to do? This is a joke! We paid to look after our own kids. My property taxes probably contribute to the museum. I have never agreed with paying to attend something for kids. Maybe charge a minimum fee, like $3 for the use of using the bathroom facilities. I understand if we went to Canada's Wonderland, sure, adults go on the rides and enjoy it, but to gouge $17.50 per adult for a few hours of watching grandchildren play is outrageous! Anyone else feel the same or is there some benefit that I reaped for my money that I haven't realized?

Things to Do Let's clean up the garbage around our city!
The melted snow has revealed the annual piles of garbage buried within. Each Spring, there seems to be more and more trash laying around.
We don't have to wait for April's London Clean & Green. Let's start cleaning up now!
If everybody took 20 minutes to pick up some garbage around where they live, we'd have a clean city!
You might even find some treasures! Refundable cans and bottles. Cash coins and bills. Gift cards with some balance remaining.
Please be careful though: use gloves or a grabber, and watch for sharp or dangerous items. Participate at your own risk and know your own abilities. Stay away from moving water. Watch out for vehicles and other people. Be aware of your surroundings.
Let's clean up our city together!

Things to Do Are there any live storytelling or TED-style events in/around London?
I recently watched a Stories from the Stage video and realized I would LOVE to attend things like this in person.
I’m looking for events where people tell true, meaningful stories about their lives.. overcoming difficult circumstances, addiction/recovery, family, poverty, grief, people who changed their lives, etc.
I’m also interested in TED/TEDx-style talks, interesting public speakers, psychology/social issues, memoir conversations, or lectures that leave you thinking about them afterward.
I’m not really looking for theatre or live entertainment just for the sake of entertainment. I’m looking for that experience of sitting in a room listening to someone tell you something real, moving or genuinely fascinating.
I’m in the a smaller town about 40 minutes away, so London is ideal, but I’d happily drive an hour or so for something worthwhile.
Does anyone know of venues, organizations, recurring events or speaker/storytelling series I should follow?

Things to Do Ideas for places to take a baby?
I've taken my baby out a lot, but apart from the grocery store, a walk and the mall, I can't think of other things to do with my newborn. Does anybody have any good suggestions, please? Thank you!

Things to Do Have a week off visiting London, I saw the best burger thread, what are other ‘must try’ spots or activities?
Basically title, I have a week and a half off work visiting and staying in London.
Saw the best burger thread and am going to try one of House, Craft Pharmacy or Milos.
What are your other personal must try, or must go to spots or activities?
Looking for more specifics than just the restaurant or place. Like, “Milos, but you have to try the burger!” For example :) can list two or three things if you want
Give a girl some things to do! I am open to most food and most activities. Anything from a walk, to coffee, to food, games or activities etc.

Things to Do Looking for an office outing idea in London
Hi!
I'm looking for some advice for an office outing in London for 25-35 people. Our business gives "social committee" a somewhat decent budget for events a few times a year. Does anyone have any suggestions?
We've done indoor volleyball, comedy shows, sports games, that sort of thing. We've even done a Canada's wonderland trip (this was our "big" summer trip we normally have about once a year). Is there anything else fun that someone knows about?
Edit - Thanks everyone for the suggestions! :D

Things to Do What to do with my 3yo daughter on the weekends?
I usually spend the weekend recovering from working, but seasonal depression is upon me.
What types of things can I do during my 6 usable hours (disabled) with my daughter in this city to have a mother-daughter day?
We already have a children's museum membership, but would also wish to not spend half of my paycheque on an outing.
Walks and physical activities are out of the question cause of my disability. Especially if I want to work the following week.
Thank you.

Things to Do Learn to play Final Fantasy Trading Card Game
Hi local TCG and final fantasy fans!
Not deja vu, we have an event!
L.A. Mood Comics and Games has provided a time slot to learn to play the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. It will take place Sunday, September 13th from 1 PM to 4 PM.
The event is completely free and does not require sign ups or reservations. Everything needed to learn to play will be provided, all you gotta do is be there.
Demo decks will be available to learn the basics. Completed, more advanced decks will be available for casual play during the event as well, the goal is to get a feel for the game in an afternoon.
The game itself plays somewhat similar to Magic the Gathering, but is very unique in its differences. If you're a new or old Final Fantasy fan, a TCG vet or someone just looking to start out, come check it out. It'll be fun!

Things to Do Arcades?
I took my kids to the arcade at The Factory today and I found it…very disappointing. I guess I’m used to Japanese-style arcades which have a large selection of entry level games without extreme violence. I felt like the games were carnie-style fairground stuff like ring toss and clown toss, gambling crap like wheel of fortune and a couple other ones, ultra-violent games with lots of shooting, racing or UFO catcher machines.
What I didn’t see? Rhythm games, or much that was particularly of interest to my children. When I was there, the place was packed, and it was all kids (many of whom seemed as bored as mine), so…that’s a choice.
Are all of the other arcades like this? Do I have to drive all the way to Toronto to go to a decent arcade?
I would really appreciate info on the other arcades — driving into London right now is a nightmare because of all the road closures, so I’d rather not make the trip if my kids are just going to be disappointed.

Things to Do New to the city, looking for a hobby/maker space
Hi there! I just moved to London about a month ago, and now that I'm settled I'm looking for a hobbyist/makerspace if there is one around. I'm from Calgary and they have something called Protospace and I'm hoping to find something similar in this city to work on various projects. Does anyone know of anything like this?
