General Regarding the Number 6 highway between Winnipeg and Thompson
I just want to shout out to whoever finally got working toilets at the Devil's Lake rest stop. Since there's no reliable stop between The Pas junction to Gypsumville, I thought I was going to have to marathon hold it or not drink anything. I remember when people would stop there and just poo in the picnic gazebo they had there.

Politics For Autistic Manitobians
On Tuesday October 27th at 10:00am at the legislative building, there is a call to sit in the hearing on bill 232, to show our support for the bill, and to ensure that the amendments do not take place.
For those not aware of the situation i encourage you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions.
But I will let you know what my understanding of this situation,
There has been an increase of autistic diagnosises, and there has been discussion on the sorely lacking support for us. The initial bill 232 was created as a promise to action a plan to better support autistic manitobians across the province, including rural areas and for all ages. This was initially agreed on but the NDP requested an amendment which removed the inclusive language of provincially, changed the title of the act to be autistic children act, and zoned it to specifically to winnipeg only.
We were promised a more inclusive bill that would consider the needs of the many and reduced it to winnipeg children only.
The ndp made a statement yesterday saying that they will not continue with the amendment and continue with the bill as initially brought forward. However these are just empty promises until everything is properly signed.
We are asking for people to show up to the legislative building october 27th for 10:00am to sit into the signing to show them that we care about this bill and would like to see it signed as initially intended.
Please come in none affiliated clothing, and just bring your presence. It has been requested for the gathering on tuesday for us to show up with no signs.
The timing is tricky because it is a work day. So I really encourage that if you have the capacity to go that you please show your support <3

Question Considering trip to Churchill in late February
I’ve been to Winnipeg many times now, even in January, but I have yet to see the rest of the province. I realized that I have enough VIA preference points for a free trip in sleeper class for a return trip to Churchill from Winnipeg.
I’m looking at going in late February, and I know it’s a good time for Northern Lights (also knowing there’s no guarantees either). What else might one do up there for 2-3 days at that time of year? The cold is not a deterrent for me, and I can certainly enjoy some down time too (and being on a slow train is alright too) but I’d like to be sure it’s worth the trip!
And yes, I know it’s not polar bear season.
Thanks in advance.
