Got inspired while listening to the album so i decided to make some more art inspired by it, Idk thought it would be neat xP

QOTSA is finally coming back to Brazil. They’re playing Lollapalooza Brasil on Saturday, March 20, 2027, at Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo, on the same day as The Killers.

Great news, but anyone who has seen them at a festival knows the drill. A set of an hour or so, mostly the big singles, some songs from Perfecth and almost no deep cuts. Sound mixed for a field instead of for the band, with half the crowd with no energy saving a spot for the next act. The extended jams and the tension of a packed club are exactly what makes a QOTSA show special, and that’s what gets cut.

Bands playing Lolla often add a headline show of their own in São Paulo the same week, indoors, full set, only their crowd. Nothing has been announced for QOTSA so far, so this is the moment to show there’s demand for one.

If you’re a Brazilian fan, or you’d travel to São Paulo for it, drop a comment, where you’re from, how many times you’ve seen them, and which songs you’d want in a full set. The more noise here, the better the odds someone on their team notices. I know QOTSA got a lot of fans in Brazil.

I’ve been following them since Rated R and I’d pay double for a proper club show. Who’s with me?

Dean Fertita did an interview for Binaural.es spanish magazine and that 's what he revealed.

Dean: We're excited to see where this takes us. We don't have all the dates confirmed yet, but we'd love to play at interesting venues. Places we haven't been to before, that we connect with, and that are a little outside the box.

Interviewer: Is there any particular place that comes to mind in that regard?

Dean: It's hard to say at the moment... A friend sent me a clip of Nick Cave performing in Croatia. The place was wonderful. One of the things I loved most about the Catacombs gig was that the venue itself was another member of the band, and that added so much to the experience. We shouldn't have been allowed in there.

So, are you planning to tour Europe next year?

Yeah, this year is impossible. We just don't have the time now. We're going to Japan, Australia… Next year, though. I'm not sure when… But we'd love to do our own headline shows.

Regarding the next European tour, will it consist entirely of headline shows, or will you also be playing festivals?

It's hard to say at this point, but I think it'll be more focused on our own headline shows. But, as I said, I'm not 100% sure. That's definitely on our wish list.

Red Rocks tickets are sold through AXS so Ticketmaster should provide a code to those who signed up for the presale. I haven't received a code yet even though I signed up. 😕

Edit: Never received the email, but going onto the presale sign up page and signing into Ticketmaster shows the code.

Johnny Blue Skies,with the 3 hour arena sets, is killing it this fall.

I noticed in the post that there was no mention of having to sign up or opt in for the newsletter presale - only the artist presale. I am just now realizing that even though I have been on their newsletter for a few years now, that you DID have to sign up for the newsletter. Since I forgot to register did I just miss the boat on BOTH newsletter AND artist presale?

I read all their lyrics, from 1998 to the ‘Perfecth’ singles, and followed the words that keep coming back. Then I turned them into an interactive kintsugi piece: nine albums as shards of one vessel, with gold running between songs that share a word. Fifteen seams in total.

It’s still a work in progress. The rest of ‘Perfecth’ goes in after Friday.
