Could I repurpose these?
I work in a school, these are foam squares (pouffes) that were used by the drama/theater department, about 40cm or 16inch cubed. I have about 30 they want to get rid of. The foam is quite rigid, hard enough to sit on and maintain shape, soft enough to be comfortable.
We have a somewhat professional studio space that has a pretty decent issue with standing waves. Would stacking these in the corners or along room edges help with standing waves? Or would they help with room acoustics generally?
We also have small music practice rooms akin to police holding cells, little concrete boxes that get mighty loud, would they be better in there?
Thought I would ask here first before lugging them across campus...
Thanks in advance

How to muffle/reduce the noise I make inside my room?
You can hear everything from inside my room since the door is hollow and one half of the wall (don't ask why) is made of plywood. I don't mind the wall since the sound doesn't really get that much to the other room. However, you can hear anything from outside the door—even when just speaking normally. Outside my door is a mini hallway and the sound echoes from there... I get super anxious as I feel like the people in our house can always hear me.
I hang clothes from the inside of my door but I don't think that is much of a help... There's like a space on top of my door, will hanging a thick blanket there work? I can also hang one on the other side.
What can I do to lessen/muffle the noise I make? 🙏

Soundproofing Basement Bedroom (acoustics is plus)
Hey all,
Noob here
Looking to musically soundproof my basement bedroom for family, then some acoustic treatment when finished for a hopeful half decent recording space for vocals. The loudest thing I'll be doing in the room would be acoustic guitar/ vocals (not belting). As title says looking for general guidance expectations vs budget
Room Details:
Height: 5'10"
Width: 10'8"
Length: 11'8"
-Cement walls
-Totally replacing ceiling
-I'm planning on adding a 2nd acoustic door between room and main basement
-Square light fixture in middle for consideration
-Window for consideration but don't care about noise going outside (not sure if how works)
-Small bathroom attached to side which I'm assuming could leak sound
My brother is finishing the room anyway so it's a good opportunity to soundproof. Will the cement walls be a massive issue for recording vocals? Final demos would be at a studio
- Additionally- the side restroom. Is there any use in this room? I could see a potential of removing the toilet/ cabinet and doing acoustic treatment or sound treatment there as well. I'm afraid then the budget could get bit out of hand. If you see potential in the sideroom for basic acoustic treatment please let me know
Thank you!

Where would you place 6 acoustic panels in this room?
I've got six 2′ × 4′ acoustic panels to work with in this room, and I'm trying to get the best results for reducing echo and reverberation. Occasionally recording acoustic guitar, since it doesn’t fit in the booth.
If you were placing these six panels, where would you put them first?
The room layout is a little unusual, so I'm especially interested in how you'd prioritize the panels rather than trying to treat every surface. Appreciate any suggestions!
BTW, the black cabinet is representing the sound booth
