Alan Moore wrote the following in his book on Magic. I’ve never heard this, and I haven’t been able to source it yet..

“the so-called 'magic' psilocybin
mushroom, or 'Liberty-cap'. These mushrooms [were] called Asclepius by medieval
alchemists”

Does anyone know where this information about alchemists calling mushrooms ‘Asclepius’ has come from?

thanks to anyone who might be able to help
