I’m looking for halloween plans but also kinda curious about where the crowd is in general. Maybe Im just an overgrown kid but I still identify as “alt” at 29, but all alt scenes Ive found myself in are filled with people in their very early 20s or even younger. Where do all the adults with “underground” taste hang out and find community? I like goth and industrial music, dnb and jungle, IDM, electronic music, some new wave and no wave…etc. I keep getting recommended LGBTQ spaces but Im straight so I feel like Im not supposed to be there lol. Regardless, if anyone knows where adults with alternative taste in music media in fashion like to congregate or will be congregating on halloween… please lmk 🧐

Where can I buy freshly made lavash in Atlanta? I love hovan Mediterranean wraps - which they say they freshly make - but they refuse to sell them to me individually :(
Where can I buy a good lavash?
J.R. Crickets, American Deli, Wing Factory, The Local and Taco Mac are the names everyone gives, but I'm sure half the city has a neighborhood spot that beats all of them.
What's yours? And if you had to put those five in order, how would it go?
Full disclosure, this is the topfiveD account. We run Atlanta ranking polls and wings is this week's, so I'm partly asking to see what we missed.

I'll be visiting Atlanta for the first time next month for a work conference, but will have a lot of free time. Are there any events happening Nov 15-19? What are your recommendations for things to do besides the aquarium and other museums. I already have those on my list. I'm be staying near downtown/Midtown and will be utilizing public transportation and ride shares. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know a shop that would install parts I purchased myself? I've realized the job is beyond my skill level. TIA

As a recent convert to pickleball from tennis, I have been trying to find reasonably priced pickleball clubs. The Sandy Springs Tennis Center is a good place for outdoor play, but it can become expensive for the Open Play Mixers at $12/two hours.
The public parks are great...because they are free. But it is Hit or Miss on how long it may take to get on the courts. Hammond Park and Northpark are examples.
The Painted Pickle is fun if you want to mix eating and drinking with pickleball, but can be expensive at $25 for four hours of open play.
The Marcus Jewish Community Center MJACC have great courts--some courts outside and other courts covered (roof) but still open walls to the elements.
ACE Pickleball in Peachtree City and Roswell/Alpharetta (Holcomb Bridge and 400) are well maintained indoor courts with flexible memberships. Going into winter, the indoor options are attractive.
But I still like playing outdoors when it is not wet or windy.
A new outdoor facility with 10 pickleball courts is in Chamblee. Chamblee Racquet and Pickleball Club. Near PDK airport.
Any other court options out there? I have not gone by ITP yet. Anyone been there?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Howdy my wife and I will be visiting Atlanta soon and was just wondering if there are any sights that locals or any other travelers would recommend. Also we always love trying food from the places we visit so if there are any places that may knock our socks off we would love to go as well. We are very excited to visit and any help on possible things to do would be greatly appreciated. 🤠🤠

I was in georgia and I went to this one Mediterranean/ middle eastern place. It was a really nice and fancy sit down restaurant. They had a stone fire oven for the pita/naan bread and they had authentic to their culture food. It was in a massive building on the bottom floor and the parking area was quite crowded and hard to get into and out of, as well as at an angle but we managed to get in. Does this ring a bell to anyone? I just can’t find it. If you don’t know the name, can you please reshare it so that hopefully someone else would know !

Hello! I just moved to Atlanta, and I am trying to find a dentist. I am in Decatur so preferably around there would be great, but I am open to seeing anyone in the Atlanta area. I am having some concerns about my teeth, and I want someone who will take their time to hear my concerns and point me in the right direction. If anyone can please recommend a dentist that ideally takes Cigna insurance I would appreciate it!

Hi! Just moved here, what are your favorite things to do in this Atlanta neighborhood? Any traditions or fun activities that happen around the holiday time? I’m trying to not have to drive too much to do fun things and meet people that live close by. Thanks!

I've been handing more and more of my life to AI agents, from coding to errands to random side projects, and I'm curious who else around here is into it. What's the coolest thing yours has done for you? And are there any local spots or groups where people nerd out about this?

Coming up from Orlando to go to a concert Sunday evening at State Farm Arena. Want to hit Little Five Points to grab a bite to eat and walk around. My question is… would it be better to catch the Marta to SFA or park at the arena?

Hi, I haven’t been here since I was a kid, I wanted to go back but over the years I have heard that they don’t treat the animals well and it was overall depressing. I wanted to know if this was true before I give them any money.

My mom is new in town, recently divorced and is in her late 40s.
Other than hanging out with me she doesn’t go out much and I really need her to be apart of a community and make friends.
She’s into art (I’ve taken her to the High Museum), movies, trying new restaurants, live music, and generally open to new experiences.
Any recommendations? it could be a place, a group / club, a reoccurring event.

Hey y’all, I’m currently in the southside of Atlanta near Forest Park, and I’m currently living in my car. I just wanted to see if anyone knows a safe place that I can park and sleep at tonight.

If you have gotten epidural steroidal injections in the Atlanta area and you’ve had a good experience at your facility, can you post it (and the cost, whether self-pay or not, if you’re comfortable sharing)?
I need this procedure for a herniated disc, and the facility my orthopedic PA referred me to is giving me a hard time about disclosing the cost of the procedure before I go. They also have no openings within a week and no afternoon appointments. I’d like to call around with my doctor’s order and try to get cost estimates and a sooner appointment. But I don’t know where to start. Thanks!

I (21F) am from Canada, Ontario province and my girlfriend (23F) lives somewhere close to Duluth ! Our monthsary is coming up soon and I've been wanting to send her a gift as soon as I can. Sending something from the postal office would probably take a while. Thought of UberEats, but decided i want to deliver something more thoughful and presentable. Are there any other services I can pay for something like this? Thinking of giving her a gift basket full of some of her favorite goods.
I can't do anything too grand at the moment as I am only working a part time job right now.
To my girlfriend if you're seeing this, no it's not me :')))

I have been looking to run a marathon (no prior exp or just urge like Barney Stinson to get up and run marathon). If anyone wants to sell their ticket for 1 person because they couldn't go, I would be more than happy to purchase it.
Thank you in advance, feel free to dm me.

Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I are attending a wedding in Duluth on Sunday, November 1st, and we’re thinking about heading into Atlanta afterward, probably around 9–10 PM.
I’ll be pretty dressed up for the wedding, so I’d love to find somewhere with a nice atmosphere where we can grab some cocktails and take a few cute pictures!
Ideally looking for somewhere with a pretty interior, nice lighting, or city views.
I know it’s a Sunday, so I’m not sure what will actually be open that late. We’re open to pretty much anywhere in Atlanta!
Would love any recommendations! :)
