Hello! Me and some friends are trying to start a band in the north austin area.

We are currently a three piece (1 guitarist/vocalist, 1 guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist, and one bassist/guitarist)

still in the early stages of jamming and finding a sound

We are looking for someone who is either an experienced drummer or someone who is new but excited to learn.

Also we are all in our early 20s so 18-30 is preferred but not necessary

Also don't be a transphobe (no exceptions)

We have a practice space in North Austin with a drum kit there (no lugging stuff around for practice)

Additionally 2 of our members have some experience with drums, so if you want to swap out for guitar or bass for a few songs that's cool!

Hi! My name is Julian and I've been hunting for local bands to go see that are in the rough pop rock/indie pop/alternative pop genres. Would love to support the pop scene but don't know where to start. I want to find similar sounds to my band Midnight Spies since we just moved from Houston to Austin. Sounds like The 1975, Peter Gabriel, Caroline Polachek, Sam Fender, Bleachers, Rush, The Police, and maybe some M83. Broadstrokes. I know about Animal Arcade so possibly similar music to that as well!

I’ve found most of a band to play shows with but the trouble is finding a guitar player capable of playing the parts.

I’m looking for someone who’s down to sing the “old” songs as well as write new material with us- anyone with references we can hear to the front!

I hope everybody is doing well. Im a 40 year old guy in South Austin looking for people to jam with. I, like many others, started playing guitar during the pandemic and would love to find some people to hang and jam with occasionally. Full disclosure, ive never really jammed before so some patience might be needed.

I have a few guitars including a Baritone and a Bass VI so I can do my best to cover a wide range of sounds. (Jam buddies are also welcome to play the guitars i have as well if that sweetens the pot at all.)
