Image Swamphen chicks look ridiculous
Look at those huge feet! I imagine it's like trying to walk in flippers. So adorable.

Help me identify this bird that blessed my eyes. It flew into my driveway like a good luck omen.

I'm here folding laundry and I see this fella just walking by all casual like. Now I don't know this bird, but he seemed to think it was cool to stroll on through. When I asked him what he was doing, he hurried out and didn't say anything. Was he casing the joint?

Noticed this guy making odd noises and dancing the past month or so... is it a mating thing?

I swear they are so pretty, its a shame that I only get to see them a few month of the year.

This Musk Lorikeet (Trichoglossus concinnus) was hanging out with the local Rainbows on some flowering Bottlebrush. Don't usually see them here in Umina Beach, on Central Coast, NSW, but they're certainly very welcome.

Spotted this guy on my afternoon walk in Sydney. Very sweet and calm. Even posed for the photo.

As soon as i went outside today, old mate appears out of no where and starts calling/singing for a while. Is he calling out for friends? Felt bad for the guy as he was calling out for ages but I find it amazing and nice to listen to, especially before the grind of daily life starts.

We have a beautiful pair of Welcome Swallows that raise a few broods per season under our carport. They can get a bit stroppy and make quite a mess, but always worth it to see the young ones flying about 😊
