Robot Combat I’m making a robot combat video game. What do games always get wrong about the real thing?
I’ve been a fan for years and I’m a solo dev building a physics-based robot combat game. Every hit is simulated, so a flipper can really launch a heavier bot, a wedge can get under you, and parts break off when they take damage. A few screenshots from the current build are attached.
Every robot game I played growing up felt off somehow: spinners that did no real damage, bots that drove like cars, no sense of weight. So I’m asking the people who actually watch this sport:
I’ll read every reply. This is genuinely shaping what I fix next.
