Wallets & Exchanges BTC-backed INR loans are now live in India, in partnership with Unocoin

Pledg is now live, in partnership with Unocoin. 🇮🇳

If you need rupees, you no longer have to sell your sats to get them. Borrow INR against your BTC, keep your stack, and get it back in full when you repay.

How it works:

Pledge your BTC as collateral

Get INR in your bank account

Repay, and your BTC comes back in full

Who holds your coins: 2-of-3 multisig. You hold one key, [Unocoin and NBFC] hold the other two. Pledg holds no key and can't move your coins. Every loan gets its own address, so you can verify your collateral on any block explorer, anytime.

Terms:

Borrow ₹10,000 to ₹3,00,000

50% LTV (pledge ₹2 of BTC, borrow ₹1)

16% p.a. + 2% one-time fee, shown as one all-in rate before you sign

Up to 12 months, repay early anytime

Top-up alert at 70% LTV, partial liquidation only at 80%, never your whole stack

Loans issued by an RBI-registered NBFC

Questions on custody, liquidation, or anything else? Drop them below, we're answering everything in the comments.

Taxation Any idea what tax I will be paying?

Hello folks, I have a question regarding taxation in India.

I run a platform where users can unlock digital skins, 3D models, templates, etc without paying money directly. Instead, they create an account, select what they want, set a target and download my mining program. The program starts mining, and the credits earned are added to their account. Once they reach their target, the requested items become available for download.

My question is, would the income I earn through this business be taxed under the normal corporate tax rules, or would the flat 30% tax on crypto mining income apply?

If anyone has experience or knowledge regarding this, please advise. It would mean a lot. Thanks!

Wallets & Exchanges What makes you stick with a crypto exchange long-term?

I've noticed there are so many exchanges to choose from now, and everyone seems to have a different preference.

For me, things like transparent fees, decent liquidity, smooth withdrawals, and a platform that doesn't feel unnecessarily complicated matter more than having a ton of features.

Curious what you guys prioritize the most. Have you stuck with one exchange for years, or switched after running into issues? What was the deciding factor?

Help and Advice I tried to pay for an international subscription and my bank blocked it, where can I buy crypto debit card with no kyc as a backup?

I had to pay for an annual software subscription from an international provider, but my Indian bank card got declined. When I contacted the bank, they told me international transactions were temporarily restricted and couldn't give me a timeline for when they'd be available again.

I already have some USDC from DeFi yields in my wallet, so I was wondering if there's a way to use that for the payment without signing up for another exchange or going through a lengthy verification process. Are there any virtual cards that let you top up with crypto and use them quickly, ideally without KYC?

Help and Advice Do anybody know about free virtual debit cards? Crypto or non crypto both fine [ TRIED 30 APPS ]

Hey , i wasted my 2 days searching all the internet and giving my aadhar everwhere just to have a crypto or non crypto free virtual debit card. But, all the time i ended up with 5 to 15 dollar fees of opening charges. I researched all the reddit , youtube , articles but everywhere i got fished. I cant find a single card which is free. Wallets & Exchanges Stop selling your sats for rupees. We built BTC-backed INR loans

Every Indian bitcoiner knows this moment. You need cash for a wedding, a business, an emergency, and the only way to get rupees is to sell your BTC.

You take a 30% tax hit on the gains, and the coins you held through every crash are gone. If BTC runs after that, you watch it from the sidelines.

We built Pledg so you don’t have to make that trade.

How it works:

  1. Pledge your BTC as collateral
  2. Get INR in your bank account
  3. Repay, and your BTC comes back in full

Who holds your coins? No single party. Your BTC sits in a 2-of-3 multisig: you hold one key, and two independent institutional partners hold the other two. Pledg holds no key and can’t move your coins. Every loan gets its own address, so you can check your collateral on any block explorer, anytime. Don’t trust, verify.

Pilot terms:

  • Borrow ₹10,000 to ₹3,00,000
  • 50% LTV (pledge ₹2 of BTC, borrow ₹1)
  • 16% p.a. + 2% one-time fee, shown as one all-in rate before you sign
  • Up to 12 months, repay early anytime
  • If the price drops, you get a top-up alert at 70% LTV. Only partial liquidation at 80%, never your whole stack

The rate: 16% is pilot pricing. As we show there’s real demand in India, we bring on more capital and the rate comes down. Early users are what get us there.

Pilot slots are limited and we open in a few days.

Help and Advice I know basically nothing about crypto. Where should I start learning?

I’m interested in getting into IT, and I’m also genuinely very interested in cryptocurrency. But I want to be honest about where I’m starting from: I have basically zero knowledge about crypto.

I know what cryptocurrency is in a very general sense, I’ve heard about Bitcoin, blockchain, crypto investing and trading, and I have a very basic idea of what blockchain means. Beyond that, I don't really know much.

I don't want to start investing or trading right now. Before putting any money into it, I want to actually understand what I’m getting into and how this whole thing works.

I want to start from the absolute basics and gradually build my understanding. I don't even know what concepts I should learn first, so I don't want to make a list of things myself and assume that’s the correct way to learn it.

So for people who have learned about cryptocurrency from scratch:

Where would you recommend a complete beginner start?

What should I learn first? Should I start with understanding cryptocurrency itself, Bitcoin, blockchain technology, investing/trading, or something else before those?

What resources would you recommend for someone starting from literally zero? YouTube courses, websites, books, free courses, documentation, or something else?

I’m also interested in eventually understanding the technical side properly. I actually want to understand what the hell is happening under the hood, rather than just knowing how to buy and sell coins.

Bengali is my native language. If there are any good Bengali resources for learning cryptocurrency, I’d really appreciate recommendations. Hindi resources are also welcome. English is completely fine too; I just want to learn from good material.

I’m not looking for investment advice or coin recommendations. I just want to know how someone with absolutely no knowledge should begin learning about cryptocurrency properly.

I’m willing to take my time with it. Even if I never make any money from crypto, I still want to understand it properly and learn how this whole thing actually works.

Any advice from people who have gone through this themselves would be greatly appreciated.
