Season Three I'm not a fan of Buffy's fashion in season 3 when Faith shows up
I've never been a fan of Buffy's fashion in season 3 when she returns to school. I get that teenagers experiment with fashion and Buffy was probably going for a more bright look after season 2, but the apstels, cardigans and floral dresses were a bit much.
It felt like the costume designers were trying way too hard to tell us Buffy was the innocent good girl while Faith was the edgy bad girl with her darker warrobe.
The whole thing was just so on the nose. Buffy already had dressed like Faith in season 2. so I don't understand why they felt the need to make her dress so conservatively just to contrast her with Faith.

NEW VIEWER - No spoilers please! I couldn't help but think about the Cornell situation while watching this episode. (Season 2 episode 5)
My first time watching through (40 year old). This episode...wow. I can't begin to tell you the anger I felt while watching this and being reminded of that horrible situation at Cornell. This type of behavior won't ever stop, and has always been. I don't know if this subject has been discussed here, but I'm interested in hearing peoples thoughts

Introspective What things do you always experience on each rewatch?
- I love Tara more and more. I hated her when the show was on tv, for the unforgivable sin of not being Oz (I was 12).
- I love Dawn more and more.
- I start out really liking Riley, and think he is so hot and nice, and that maybe this time around Riley won’t begin to annoy me. He never fails to start being annoying again very soon.
- Giles gets hotter and hotter (Band Candy).
- I never hate Xander at all.

Buffy Did you watch Sarah's show Ringer ?
The show's writing wasn't the best but Sarah was absolutely fantastic in this. Really making the roles of the twins her own and was intense in it. She really grounded the show, and she also looked amazing.

Love Interests I kinda love how the recent article about Buffy season 3 had a dreamy image filter in the photo of Buffy and Faith. Kinda seems like they’re saying something.
In case anyone hasn’t seen the article that was posted before. Here it is: https://www.polygon.com/buffy-season-3-best-season-mayor-faith/

Season Three Revelation
Impression about Buffy, 3x07
Wow, two publications on the same day... I think I kinda like to share my impression of the show here. Everybody seems very nice, but if it's annoying for you, feel free to tell me.
So, my impression.
First of all, I've completely forgotten that Willow/Xander wasn't just the story of a moment shared during an experience that was, all things considered, traumatic, but really a cheating affair. If I were in Cordy's shoes, maybe I could forgive him if he just kissed Willow 'cause they think they're about to die, but knowing that it lasted three episodes, I'm standing with Cordy; I wouldn't want to have him around me after that (I never think she was wrong; it's just what I'd probably do if I had to go through the same experience)
Second, I'm really sad for Faith. She had a pretty good relationship with Buffy before that, and I understand why they didn't want to involve her with their background with Angel, but they left the door open for Mrs Post to manipulate her. They couldn't have known that she was an hypocrite; she manipulated them all, but seeing Faith so hurt after all of this, it's sad.
At last, seeing Giles really pissed off was good. But someday, he's really gonna wake up in a coma 🤣

Content Warning The ending of Seeing red is kinda funny when you think about it
This episode is known for being one of, if not the darkest episode of the series but i can't help to find the last scene (warren killing Tara ) funny.
Not because the death is funny, that is tragic. But because of Warren's behaviour. I just love the fact that in this episode (and this whole season) Warren tries to think of multiple insane ways to kill buffy, he summons demons, he uses magic and etc.
And the whole time you wonder what's going to happen.... and yet the most unexpected thing he does is using a f* gun and it works lmao.
And i'm sorry but i find that insanely funny. Because it's almost as if the character realized that what he was doing was absolutely ludicrous because, well.... buffy is not bullet proof.
God, I can't stop laughing in my head imagining Warren thinking "yeah ofc why didn't i think about that ?". That's why they made him used a jetpack in the episode so this would make this scene more unpredictable.
And this is why i love season 6, because of the way it brings you back in a metaesque way to reality and it shows that humans can be more dangerous than actual demons. It's a way of saying : this is how life actually works.
I actually have a similar opinion for the last scene of The Body but that's for another day.
Like...man i don't even know how to explain this is just genius. Just for that Warren became my fav villain of the show.
But idk it's just me maybe. Did you all find it interesting ?

NEW VIEWER - No spoilers please! First time watcher
Ok just got to S4 EP10 “Hush”…
I’m so scared. How this show continues to spook me so terribly idk. Of course they decided to make the costume actually scary and good the one time I’m too scared to look at the screen, but have no choice, but to look at the screen because it’s completely f*cking silent.
I will say so far this season is my favorite because the stories are just more entertaining. It’s so great and not having Angel as much is so awesome because honestly his character was starting to bore me.

Season Three Homecoming
Impression about Buffy, 3x05
I really, really love the dynamic between Buffy and Cordy, and Cordy is one of my favorite characters. She can be petty, pretty, and a pain in the neck to those around her, but she is brave, and this episode showed me again how cool she is.
When Buffy and Cordy arrived at the library, Gorch and his wife, Candy, attacked them. Buffy slayed her, but was knocked out at the same time. Then Cordy stepped between her and an angry Gorch and intimidated him with her ego. I found this very funny because she may be superficial and insufferable for Buffy the entire episode; she still stood up to protect her, and the way they both left the coronation at the end... Perfect
Special mention for Mr. Trick; I love this man!

Spike Liam and William
Do you think Angelus and Spike ever had a chat where they realized they are both basically named Liam?
In my head I like the idea that Spike changed his name from William the Bloody to Spike as soon as he realized.

Whedonverse If Buffy had been a slayer in a different decade, which one would have the most mileage?
Just curious how you would see Buffy play out of it was in any decade besides the iconic late 1990s-early 2000s

I have nothing interesting to watch now. I have heard of this show before and I'm surprised that it has such high ratings- so should I watch it and how really good is it?

Content Warning Patrolling is challenging and boring.
I've been looking for my friend now for 9 days. She has addiction and mental health issues and she currently sleeps in the streets. I'll find her sooner or later - she always goes away for days and comes back. Nothing to be done about it - she is in her fifties and I approaching 40 - it is what it is.
On my latest and current search for her, I reminded myself of Buffy or any of the scoobies out on patrol. It's like driving on a 70 mile straight stretch of highway. It's so boring but you need to be on alert.
Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot - for hours, and then each day. The act of patrolling in and of itself is not difficult, rather time consuming (a vast difference, as you know)
You go on autopilot - absent but obliged to be present. Tough gig for a 16 year old for sure.
Love you all.
