📖 WHAT IS OFFLINE ABOUT?
OFFLINE is a character-driven psychological horror series that explores friendship, romance, trust, suspicion, and the terrifying possibility that someone you know isn’t who they claim to be.
The story follows a group of friends whose ordinary online conversations gradually turn into something far more disturbing. As strange events unfold, people begin disappearing, unsettling evidence surfaces, and the group’s relationships start to fall apart.
Everyone has their own perspective, their own secrets, and their own reasons to trust or distrust the people around them.
But as fear and paranoia take hold, one question becomes increasingly difficult to ignore:
What if the person you’re trying to protect is the one you should be afraid of?
The series combines natural conversations and relatable character interactions with escalating psychological tension. There will be humour, romantic moments, arguments, emotional confrontations, unsettling discoveries, and genuinely disturbing situations.
The goal is to make the characters feel like real people before putting them through a nightmare.
🎭 CHARACTERS AVAILABLE
Here is a breakdown of the main characters currently being cast!
1. NOAH — Male, approximately 19–20
The playful romantic who slowly loses himself.
Noah is confident, cheeky, funny, and sometimes impulsive. He enjoys teasing Mia and clearly has feelings for her, even if he doesn’t always know how to express them properly.
Beneath his playful personality, however, is someone who genuinely wants to be loved and understood.
When things begin going wrong, Noah becomes determined to uncover the truth. Unfortunately, his desperation slowly turns into anger and obsession, threatening the very relationships he is trying to protect.
Acting range: Comedy, flirting, romantic chemistry, anger, fear, desperation, emotional vulnerability.
2. MIA — Female, approximately 19–20
The witty romantic caught between love and loyalty.
Mia is clever, teasing, flirtatious, and emotionally guarded. She and Noah have undeniable chemistry, but letting someone get too close to her is more difficult than she likes to admit.
As the situation becomes increasingly dangerous, Mia is forced to question whom she can trust. She loves Noah, but she also cares deeply about the rest of the group and doesn’t want suspicion to destroy everything they’ve built together.
Acting range: Natural dialogue, sarcasm, flirting, emotional conflict, suspicion, heartbreak.
3. CAROLINE — Female, approximately 19–20
The devoted girlfriend who wants to believe in the person she loves.
Caroline is affectionate, kind, introverted, and deeply loyal. She loves Gregory and believes their relationship is genuine.
She isn’t oblivious to the problems around her. Rather, she struggles with the possibility that the person she knows and loves might be hiding something terrible.
Her story explores the painful conflict between what your heart wants to believe and what the evidence is telling you.
Acting range: Warmth, tenderness, romance, uncertainty, fear, grief, emotional breakdowns, determination.
4. PETER — Male, approximately 19–20
The funny friend who discovers how much he has to lose.
Peter is sarcastic, talkative, and often the group’s comic relief. He’s used to being the single friend who makes everyone laugh, but beneath the jokes is someone who sometimes struggles to express his more vulnerable side.
His growing connection with Veronica gives him something genuine to hope for. When she disappears, that hope turns into fear, grief, and an overwhelming need to find answers.
Peter can be stubborn and impulsive, especially when someone he cares about is in danger.
Acting range: Comedic timing, sarcasm, romance, anger, grief, fear, emotional vulnerability.
5. VERONICA — Female, approximately 19–20
The sarcastic outsider who finally lets someone get close.
Veronica is independent, sharp-tongued, observant, and unwilling to pretend to be someone she’s not. She enjoys teasing Peter, but beneath her sarcasm is someone who has learned to keep people at a distance rather than risk getting hurt.
Her developing relationship with Peter reveals a softer, more vulnerable side of her.
However, as disturbing events begin to unfold, Veronica finds herself caught in a situation far more dangerous than she could have imagined.
Acting range: Dry humour, teasing, confidence, vulnerability, fear, suspense, emotional intimacy.
6. JESSICA — Female, approximately 19–20
The outsider who notices what everyone else misses.
Jessica isn’t as closely connected to the original friend group, which means she sometimes sees things the others overlook.
She’s observant, intelligent, and initially unsure of her place among them. As the mystery develops, she becomes increasingly involved in the investigation, even as Noah’s desperation leads him to treat her unfairly.
Jessica must decide how much trust she can place in people who seem determined to ignore the truth.
Acting range: Quiet observation, awkward humour, suspicion, determination, frustration, fear, emotional hurt.
7. GREGORY — Male, approximately 19–20
The charming friend hiding something monstrous.
Gregory is funny, intelligent, composed, and seemingly dependable. He’s been part of the friend group for years, is in a relationship with Caroline, and knows how to make people laugh, calm arguments, and make others feel understood.
But beneath that familiar personality is something profoundly wrong.
Gregory has learned to imitate emotions and relationships without experiencing them as others do. As the story progresses, his carefully maintained persona begins to crack, revealing someone calculating, manipulative, and frighteningly calm.
This role requires an actor who can make Gregory feel like a genuinely likeable friend in one scene and deeply unsettling in the next.
Acting range: Natural comedy, charm, warmth, subtle manipulation, emotional detachment, intimidation, psychological menace.
Important: We’re looking for subtlety rather than exaggerated villain behaviour. A quiet, convincing performance can be far more disturbing than constant evil laughter.

For acting roles, you’ll need:
The ability to perform dialogue naturally in English.
A working microphone with clear audio.
A webcam or camera capable of recording your face clearly.

Please also include a short introduction with your preferred name, time zone, acting experience (if any), and availability.
Professional equipment, elaborate editing, and years of experience are NOT required. We want to see your acting, not how many effects you can add to an audition.
⚠️ CONTENT & BOUNDARIES
OFFLINE contains mature emotional themes and psychological horror. Depending on the role, actors may be asked to portray:
Romantic tension, flirting, and affectionate dialogue.
Arguments, shouting, crying, and emotional breakdowns.
Fear, suspicion, paranoia, and distress.
Psychological manipulation and unsettling behaviour.
Threats, stalking, disturbing messages, disappearances, and implied violence.
There is no requirement for explicit sexual content, nudity, or real intimate acts. Any romantic physical interaction, if included, will be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
All horror events are fictional. You can communicate your boundaries before accepting a role, and nobody should feel pressured into performing material they’re uncomfortable with.

This is an independent production, and the current casting listings use deferred profit-share terms. Please check the individual role listings for the applicable arrangement before auditioning.
