Bonus points for anyone that actually adds in a championship pick to their comment. I'm sticking with Utah.

Discussion Who would the American and Sun Belt each be likely to add to their conferences respectively?
Feel American would likely add one more school on top of JMU to have an even number at 16 and be able to adopt a 9-game conference schedule should they wish (will be harder to get power opponents, especially for the good schools, bad schools would have luck with it).
Feel Sun Belt would likely add one school (two if American takes Appalachian State) to get back to 14 schools and 7 in each division.
For American, I feel it would be one of Miami OH, Appalachian State, UConn (CFB-only), or Air Force. UConn in CFB-only would have the added benefit of an even number in both CFB and CBB.
For Sun Belt, I feel it would be one or two of Ohio, FIU, Liberty, Kennesaw, or Delaware. Feel Sun Belt having divisions limits options to schools east of Troy for the east division to work geographically.

Analysis Luckiest and Unluckiest Teams So Far
| Team | SOR | FPI | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| UTSA | 23 | 67 | +44 |
| UCLA | 2 | 31 | +29 |
| Minnesota | 37 | 65 | +28 |
| Kentucky | 1 | 24 | +23 |
| Wisconsin | 20 | 36 | +16 |
| Virginia | 76 | 50 | -26 |
| Kansas | 81 | 55 | -26 |
| Michigan State | 94 | 64 | -30 |
| TCU | 78 | 44 | -34 |
| Texas A&M | 57 | 22 | -35 |
| Penn State | 80 | 30 | -50 |
SOR is purely a measure of resume/results, while FPI is purely a predictive measure of future performance. In general, a large gap between FPI and SOR indicates a lot of luck in the W/L results. The table above shows the top 5 luckiest (positive gap) and unluckiest (negative gap) teams.
Only the top half of rated teams were included because SOR differences become negligible at low values.
