I have a kind of crazy idea, I don’t know who’s feasible it would be, but a lot of the 6.5 Carcano ammo you can find, like the ppu, is .264, not .268. My stupid idea is to reverse engineer the barrel, and make it to where it can take the .264 stuff, and shoot it accurately, maybe make it to where you could have a .264 barrel and the original .268 barrel. The drawback would be that you couldn’t shoot the .268 stuff anymore. So 2 questions: 1: where could one find the part drawings with dimensions for the barrels? 2: is this a feasible idea or just a stupid pipe dream?
