Im not sure how to do this. But my husband works at a gas station thats on a turnpike. He got bored and started cleaning behind the counter. He found a coin he thought was cool and since our son has joined the delayed entry program for the marines he gave it to him. Turns out it was a challenge coin for the military. He didnt know it was a challenge coin but saw the military stuff on it and thought our son would like it. Its from the army or so google says. I dont know anything about challenge coins except what Google told me. Was just wondering if there was a way to figure out where it came from and if maybe possibly the owner was looking to get it back. Can anyone tell me how to research this thing?

Anybody down to trade a few

All the coins shown here are 100% authentic, earned/presented pieces from my military career. However, this image is a digital mock-up / layout plan I put together to test the spacing, symmetry, and logic before committing to drilling, mounting, and custom velvet work. I tried to structure it logically from bottom to top.

Has anyone ever made their own? Brain storming on how to turn this plotting board into one. Think 3d printing shelves and then dowel pins with glue to attach them.

And is still growing 😭😭

Hey all! I’m back again after a short month and oh boy my collection doubled! After all the positive feedback from my last post on here and the insane amount of DMs I got asking to trade, I had to get a second display case lol!
I just wanted to publicly say thank you to the folks that traded with me and the really nice comments I got. I needed a bit of a pick me up. I’m taking a break from trading right now as everything I currently have is 1/1 and I don’t want to part with what I’ve got.

Got these today at a volleyball tournament. Two of my favorites that I have received in person.

I made one trade while attending the NAS Oceana military airshow and one purchase. This challenge coin was the one I purchased. Its a pretty cool looking challenge coin.

Probably one of the more unique coins for me, simply because I only have a few coins from the marines.
Really love the design of this coin though, stands out pretty well in a display rack :)

Also one of my more unique coins.
I got this from a friend of mine, so definitely has a place in my heart, and unique for that reason.
I really feel like coins given to you from friends always end up being one of the most memorable ones too haha
