I made the recipe costing and management software that I’ve always been looking for. Want to try it?

I think it’s great, and I love using it. Having a hard time getting people to try it out and give feedback

Yes I used AI. I’ve been at it for 8 months. Been a chef for close to 15 years.

the concept is you type a recipe out and it costs it for you. Out of that you get recipe and dish costs, dated labels, multiple print outputs for physical recipe books. Scaling tools etc etc.

There‘s an online demo you can try or sign up for the beta. if You mention Reddit when signing up for beta I’ll give you a free copy when it’s fully released.

I think it’s awesome software and I just want to save people time and money. All your data in one place, no subscriptions, and very accessible one off license. I’ve watched too many chefs waste time updating spreadsheets only for them to go out of date almost immediately.

Would love for you guys to try it out, even if you hate it I’d like to know. 🙏

(Mac only for now. If on windows you can still try the web demo)

Recommended knife rolls?

I got a knife bag free with my tuition and although it's great, it's extremely clunky and takes up a lot of space and I'm looking to downsize. What are your favorite, preferably inexpensive knife rolls?

Can i see what's inside of your knife rolls? I want to get inspired 🔥

Currently in Crocs Biesto Pro. Comfy for sure and highly recommend, but it's too many miles on hard concrete for these idiocracys....

Working in Europe as a Canadian

• Upvotes

I was trying to get information from people who have gone to Europe on a working travel visa as a Canadian and what their experience was like. I have been in the industry for 10+ year and recently got my red seal so I’m looking to gain experience in Europe to take my skills to the next level. I am 35 and only speak English so I wondering if I’m restricted to just working in the UK due to language barrier. Any insight would be appreciated in helping me make my decision, thanks!
