Advice Why is choosing glasses online soo hard

I have been looking at glasses online because I need a new pair and somehow this has left me sooo confused. Like its been one or two weeks that I have been on it and still cantt decide. I have saved frames on frmoo that look good in the pictures but I keep wondering if they will suit my face or if the website lighting is doing all the work. One minute I am looking at thin gold frames then the next I'm considering chunky tortoiseshell ones that look like they belong to a completely different person.

How do you guys choose frames online? Do you stick to shapes you already know suit you, check the measurements of your current glasses or anything else that would help me decide? And which brand i should go for?

Laptops macbook neo or air

• Upvotes

hi all I have a dilemma. i’m in need of a new macbook. i’m not a student so this will be for casual daily use, do I buy the macbook neo now or should I wait until black friday (UK). is it worth investing in a macbook air as i’ve heard the macbook neo has the same RAM as the iphone. I would like the macbook to last me a good 5 years so just need some advice on whether I should get the neo or macbook air and whether I should buy it now or wait until black friday? i’d like the latest edition as well.

Household Amazon can’t repair the item and cant issue refund

I bought a Philips coffee machine from Amazon, but after a short time, it stopped working. I contacted Amazon Customer Service, and they told me to send it in for repair.
After waiting for a month, I was informed that the machine could not be repaired and that they could not send me a replacement because the item was no longer available. They told me that they would issue a full refund, and I received an email confirming that the refund had been issued.
However, just one hour later, I received another email from Amazon’s Account Protection Services stating that my refund could not be processed until they heard back from me. They also informed me that my Amazon.de account had been restricted from making non-digital purchases following a review of my account activity.
I have already submitted several appeals and contacted Customer Service multiple times, but they are unable to help me because their access is limited and only the specialist department can resolve this issue.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is there any way to contact the specialist department directly? I have also emailed three different addresses I found online, but I have not received a response from any of them.
I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you!

Can’t get past checkout on the AREBOS website – anyone else having this issue?

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to order something from the AREBOS website, but I can’t get past the checkout. Whenever I try to proceed to the payment/checkout page, I get an error and can’t complete my order.
I’ve already tried using different browsers (Chrome and Safari) and also tried the desktop version of the website on my phone, but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with AREBOS? If so, did you find a way to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Eddie Bauer forfeited older gift cards

I just noticed that my Eddie Bauer e-gift card bought a year ago can never be used on their website. Contacted their online chat agent; they told me that because of the bankruptcy, they had to put an expiration date on the older gift cards, but they didn't let their customers know that!! Attached is the ridiculous response from them. This is completely illegal and nonsense. I wish there are lawyers here who can sue them for the cheat!

Petkini-beware!

If you need to return or exchange an item, you will have to pay return shipping cost...to CHINA! They don't say this anywhere on their website. Guess I should've looked up company location. Lesson learned, for $70 worth of items I can't return, exchange, or use. Expensive lesson.

Anti-Consumer Behavior and Federal Non-Compliance

Hi, My T-Mobile Account was taken over. I recently found out about it when I was getting ready to apply for a car loan and checked my credit report. Upon checking, I noticed a collections account from T-Mobile for almost $4000!! I called T-Mobile and they told me that four additional phone lines, three additional watch lines, and a bunch of accessories had been added to a financed on my account. I immediately file an FTC identity theft report and uploaded that report and the proof I had showing that this was indeed an account take over in PDF form to my online dispute packets with all three credit bureaus. Well the credit bureaus are running my disputes through an automated system with bots and are not acknowledging this was fraud bc they are telling me “This was your account” and are refusing to delete it. Under 605 B of the FRCA Federal Law mandates that once the credit bureaus receive your identity theft report they must delete the fraudulent information from your report and block it entirely. They are refusing to do so.On top of that whenever I try to call the credit bureaus I’m getting blocked from the AI robot answering service by them refusing to transfer me to a live agent so that I can be able to tell them “yes, this was my account, “but it was an account take over” and that they need to have a human read and review my fraud documents manually!! What can I do in this situation? This is against my the law .

boAt Warranty Scam: Dispatched Wrong Color, RTO Completed, but Refusing ₹1384 Refund or Upgrade

Guys, beware of boAt's pathetic warranty service.

I claimed warranty for Airdopes 800 (Interstellar Black).

They silently dispatched an 'Interstellar White' unit.

I rejected the delivery at the doorstep. Their agent Samrat officially confirmed via email that the RTO product is back in their warehouse.

I filed NCH complaints (10376311 / 10457814) and demanded either an upgraded model (Nirvana Ivy/X) as compensation for this harassment or my full ₹1384 refund.

Now their escalation team (Piyush) is just sending automated delay emails saying "investigation is going on" to hold my money.

Has anyone else faced this? Please boycott this brand!

Show Po returns policy

Hi everyone, I purchased a few full priced item from show about 12 days ago, I went or initiate a return for a couple items today however became aware that their returns policy was updated approximately 9 days ago - the main change being instead of 30 days (with the option to return the funds to original payment method) it is now 7 days only. When I contacted show po they advised that they are unaware of the previous policy…so that the current one stands. I advised that this isn’t the case as I made my purchase prior to the change. Does anyone by any chance have a photo of their returns policy from early this month? Long shot I know! 😂

Than you!

Has anyone ordered from Louxas?

I finally found a media center that would work for my space from louxas.com, but I’m worried it’s a scam site because some of the review images appear to be AI generated and I can’t find much info on it. I’m wondering if anyone here has ordered and what your experience was.

Thanks!

Should we wait for the LG UWB lock or get a solar smart lock?

So we hv been looking at the LG deadbolt by Apple announced recently. My wife and I use iPhones, and I like having things in Apple Home rather than another app to keep track of. Walking up with shopping and having the door unlock sounds useful. Still checking whether our devices support that part.
My wife wants to keep carrying a key anyway, and our youngest does not take a phone to school. The LG has a key slot and a keypad, so there are options for them too. I keep coming back to the battery upkeep though. I can spend literal weeks reading about a gadget, then get annoyed by the small maintenance job that comes with it.
Theres this another one v150plus or smth its of desloc that got my attention. It has like face and fingerprint entry, but the solar charging is what wd be the deciding factor i guess. Our front door is under a porch, which leaves me unsure how useful that would actually be here.

Anyone using a solar smart lock with a covered entrance? How has the battery behaved, and do you still need to charge it manually? Would be useful to know what your setup is like too.

What hidden costs should buyers calculate before investing in a home gym machine?

The purchase price of a home gym machine doesn't always tell you what owning it will cost over the next several years.

Delivery, assembly, replacement cables, worn pads, compatible accessories, and warranty limitations can all change the real cost.

When comparing equipment, which extra costs do you check before buying, and which ones are easiest to overlook?

I'm interested in a practical checklist that helps buyers compare the full cost of ownership rather than choosing based on the advertised price alone.
