Maybe it is just me but I think Karen's hair and makeup and general appearance is very bland, or mousy, in season 1. In season 2 she just looks more attractive.

I wish they had made an episode where Wanda and Emma got in to it over something. They are the most formidable characters on the show. They briefly went head to head over the antique collectors lamp, the elephant lamp. But it would have been great if they were using their wit and bearing against each other for a full episode.

So I just rewatched season 2, episode 1 (The Brent Effect), and I've always been confused.

Every woman that Lacey talks to, plus Hank, says that Brent is very attractive, out of her league, hot, so on. However, late in the episode, Wanda and Karen laugh at the idea of Brent being hot, and it's never brought up again.

Were they bluffing to save face, or is Brent truly hot?

For some reason, Lacey's mock quote of Mark Twain seemed weirdly familiar. Then today I connected it up as what is officially the CG joke that has so far taken the longest for me to get.

It's a parody of a quote often misattributed to Mark Twain: "If I Had More Time, I Would Have Written a Shorter Letter"

I'm watching Season 4 right now on Peacock in the states and the audio quality of the dialogue of the fourth season is SIGNIFICANTLY worse to the point that I'm having a hard time watching.

Is this a known issue on the production side, or should I seek out the DVDs?

I'm on season 6 episode 9 so its almost time to start it all over again🙃

I usually watch the animated in-between but I cannit find it at the moment.

…the last episode was able to little different. Elsewhere I read that you should be able to watch the episodes in any order. I wish that was true also for the last episode,instead of Oscar reminiscing about things that happened earlier in the series, and the closing scene telling us what happened to each character after the shows end…

I hope it doesn’t make me a jackass or a hammerhead for pointing out this small flaw, as I still love the show and will watch multiple times in the years to come, but it still sticks out a bit like a sore thumb.

Anyway, I’m watching the movie tomorrow and then probably No Clue on Saturday.

We used to watch every single episode on ctv every week then write the questions down and answer them on the site. I saved up points for grey cup tickets from the last episode of season 1 and I have hanks 3 wood from the gold episode. What does everyone else have?

So our Hank appears in the streaming mini-series AMERICAN HOSTAGE, playing the brother of Tony Kiritsis, who in 1977 kidnapped the mortgage broker who foreclosed on his property and wired a shotgun to his head as he made demands on the police and the media. Fred gets to play a serious role and handles it quite well, playing alongside John Hamm and Giovanni Ribisi. (Oh, and Mark McKinney, of THE KIDS IN THE HALL who also played the cheerful American visitor in Season 2, has a meaty supporting role as a cranky cop.)

I was watching the Thunderface episode, and the Hip make their cameo in it. Brent responds with the line in the title when Gord says they're working on their lyrics. And that got me thinking. Everyone in the original audience would get the joke. But Corner Gas has been getting a larger audience of late.

I started pondering what other jokes are Canadian to the point that they don't travel. All Canadian viewers would know why they all drink in the beer parlor of the hotel, for example. And that it means Dog River is too small to have a legion. Or Wanda's mispronouncing Seamus. And naturally the whole table hockey episode.

I tried just posting this because the joke wrote itself, but then Reddit blocked the post for being low effort, so now I am needlessly typing out a couple sentences so this way the robot overlords don't block it a second time.
